Fusion is the safe zone of restaurants who want to add specials or be trendy. More often than not an enthusiastic 'inspired' chef will go to great lengths and create dishes which are so out of the box, you are pretty much left confused. When @skoranne teamed up with the good folks at @potpourriworld her finesse and attention to detail were inevitable through the Laii Bhaari menu of her popup. A bestselling author and one whose breads I would travel across the world for, digs up her Maharashtrian roots and brings an incredible experience on the table. Thalipeeth Tostadas with Peru Koshimbir, crispy Sabudana Poppers with a Thecha Dip. There was a Faraali Misal in the form of a Maharashtrian bowl (mixed up table side), a delicate Pathare Prabhu prawn pie (Shepherd's Pie style). The Orange Karvas (colostrum, first form of cow milk) with Dink Crumb and Kaakvi was a fitting finish to this excellently put together meal. Thanks Saee for your cooking, you do enrich our foodscape. The popup is on at Pot Pourri branches (Chembur & Vashi) from 21st Sunday for 4 days.

Oh my gosh! Every single thing at @alarobrewing is sooooo delicious! @chef_jason_azevedo hit it out of the park with this menu! First up is the Pub Burger the swipe for Piquillo Relleno, Eggplant Caponata, and chips with caramelized onion dip. The company that night was as fabulous as the food!

📜: The only 1 point deducted from this dish is that I wish they put more wagyu & foie gras into this! Totally love it! Although there could’ve been a pinch more salt & foie gras more seared, but the combination of flavors are perfect! So satisfying. Short ribs are super tender & meaty, umami-ness from sweetness of teriyaki sauce & beef juice, truffle aroma, topped with creamy onsen egg, uni & foie gras pieces, it’s just legit! A must have dish here!
