Lobster roe noodles: Chunks of grilled lobster, tender braised short rib, Brussels sprouts, butternut squash, oyster mushrooms, and pecorino cheese. A nice combo of flavors.

My starter wasn’t the most active so it was a bit flat but after a break from bread and a different oven I’m still happy with my babies! My starter is very happy now as well so I’m dying to make another loaf this weekend! My @farmersmill flour has also arrived - spray free and all 20kgs so I’m excited to use it ! I’m planning to make a white / whole meal sourdough this weekend. Also wanting to make something Matcha-y.. anyone have ideas ?

It’s so easy to talk about dieting or tracking food this point. “Oh, you need to try Whole 30, it flushes out all the toxins in your system.” “Keto is the way to go, my best friend’s sister’s frenemy lost 20 pounds in a week!”
And all of these diets & programs DEFINITELY have their place. But there’s a whole other group of us out there where diets & tracking can do more harm than good. I encourage you to think a bit more before jumping on the dieting bandwagon.
Just to speak from personal experience... dieting or many forms of tracking are NOT the answer for me. Whenever I’ve considered a diet or eating program, I’ve become WAY too obsessed with sticking to the “rules” instead of living my life, meaning that it could never be built into a healthy lifestyle.
I instead try to focus on eating more intuitively, understanding what my body is craving, & balance. I try to eat as many vegetables as possible, stick to limited “bad” fats & sugars, but I don’t feel bad when I decide to share this crazy amazing banana milkshake with a slice of cake with friends. Because, for me, BALANCE is the way to healthy living.
If you’re considering diving into the world of tracking or dieting, think through these 4 thought patterns from @spinnin_yogi before diving in. If any of these speak to you PLEASE consider something other than a “diet”...
1. If you are BRAND NEW TO THE WORLD OF NUTRITION or you don't read labels at this point. There is no shame in this AT ALL, but I recommend learning about nutrition a little first so that you can be educated about what you’re feeding your body
2. If TRACKING CAUSES DISORDERED EATING or disordered behaviors, I do not recommend. In this scenario, tracking is not going to help you live a balanced & healthy life.
3. If you are OBSESSED WITH AESTHETICS, weight, and your appearance, it could be unhealthy for you to track at this time.
4. If you HAVE BEEN TRACKING and you don't know how to eat without tracking anymore, you may want to taking a tracking break & practice some intuitive eating habits instead. •
Like I said, these diets and tracking nutrition definitely has its place in the world. But only you know what’s right for you.

Another record broken, thank you Los Angeles! We smashed 756 patties, which went into hundreds of single and double #friedonionburgers yesterday at @smorgasburgla. A good reason for the success was my rock solid team, made up of members of the @burgersneversaydie family and @trippburgers. Massive props to @gwinterboer for stepping up to the griddle to help me smash (pun intended) the record. It takes a certain amount of skill and dexterity to adapt my smash style and Gary figured it out fast.
Sorry for those who missed out after we sold out around 215pm...next time, once again, we are bringing even more! We managed to go thru 140lbs of beef, 6 gallons of sliced onions, 25 lbs of cheese, 550 buns and 4 gallons of pickles...
