Still Life with Pumpkin on a Chair. Charles Hoguet 1853. Here's a recipe for a savoury pumpkin gratin. Peel 1 small pumpkin (about 1 kilo / 2 lbs), remove the seeds and fibres and cut into large dice. Steam for 15 minutes or until tender. Mash with a potato ricer or force through a sieve. Add 50g (2 oz) butter, 125 ml (1/2 cup) milk, 2 eggs, 50g (2 oz) grated Gruyere cheese, 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon and a grating of nutmeg . Mix well and season with salt and black pepper. Pour into a well-buttered shallow baking dish and sprinkle a a few tablespoons of breadcrumbs mixed with a little more grated gruyere cheese over the top. Dot with butter and bake in a preheated 180C/ 350F oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until the top is golden. 2 cups all-purpose flour ٢ كوب طحين
1 teaspoon baking powder ملعقه صغيره بيكينج باودر
1 teaspoon baking soda ملعقه صغيره كاربونات الصودا

4 ripe bananas, mashed ٤ موز
1 tablespoon milk ملعقه كبيره حليب
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon ملعقه صغيره قرفه
110 g butter, softened ١١٠ج زبده
1/2 cupwhite sugar نص كوب سكر ابيض
1/2 cup brown sugar نص كوب سكر اسمر
3 eggs ٣ بيض
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips كوب قطع شوكولا
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Stir bananas, milk, and cinnamon in another bowl. Beat butter and sugar in a third bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs to butter mixture and beat well. Stir banana mixture into butter mixture. Stir in dry mixture until blended. Fold in chocolate chips until just combined. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Christmas finger food idea 🎄♥️💡 ... Crostini with Hummus & Roasted Cherry Tomatoes 🌱🥖🍅
For the Crostini:
1 large baguette
2 tbsps olive oil
For the Roasted Cherry Tomatoes:
400gr cherry tomatoes
2 tbsps olive oil
1 tsp chopped fresh rosemary
Sea salt and black pepper
For the Hummus:
1 can chickpeas, drained
1 1/2 tbsps tahini
1 1/2 tbsps lemon juice
1/4 cup water, or more if needed
1/2 tsp sweet paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp ground cumin
Seasoning (pinch of sea salt and black pepper to taste)
Chopped fresh basil
☑️ Prepare the hummus by placing all of the ingredients (except for water) in a food processor and blend until very smooth, at least 1 minute. Add the water, a tablespoon at a time, and process until the hummus reaches your desired consistency. Check seasoning and add more sea salt/pepper if desired. Spoon the hummus into a bowl and set aside.
☑️ Preheat oven to 200C.
☑️ Wash the cherry tomatoes and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Season with the salt, pepper, olive oil and rosemary and toss well. Transfer the tomatoes to an oven-safe baking dish and roast for 12-15 minutes or until just begin to blister.
☑️ While the tomatoes roast, slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices. Lay them out on a baking pan and brush lightly with the olive oil (just the top side).
Bake in the oven for 3-5 minutes until just golden. Remove them from the oven and let cool.
☑️ The latter step can be done either simultaneously with the tomatoes (tomatoes on the middle oven rack and bread on the top) or after the tomatoes are finished cooking, depending on what is the easiest for you.
☑️ When ready, layer the toasted baguette slices with a spoonful of hummus, then top with the cherry tomatoes.
☑️ Garnish with basil and paprika as desired, then immediately plate and serve 🙌🏻.
How to make 👇🏻 Corn, onion, mushrooms, carrots, capsicum all cut into small cubes.
Put olive oil in a hot pan add in order onion -->carrots-->capsicum-->corn-->mushrooms (u can also add black olives)
Add salt, black pepper, paprika, chilli powder ☆I added mushroom sauce for extra flavor (this step is optional)
Fill the vegetables inside a tortilla bread add mozzarella cheese flip to toast both sides and enjoy 😉

Pasta Salad - Meal Prep 🌱 🐟
Step 1: cook a cup of whole wheat pasta.
Step 2: melt butter or margarine in a pot and cook mushrooms, then add frozen corn and shopped kale. Then strain it from excess water.
Step 3: In the biggest bowl I have, I mixed in a can of tuna drained, the cooked pasta, and the veggie mix.
Step 4: for the dressing, I added 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, dijon mustard, and oregano.
Step 5: mix mix mix, then place in containers. Aaaaaand Done!! F***ing simple and so goooooddd.
Literally this recipe changes according to what I feel like adding to it. Instead of tuna, I sometimes like to add butterbeans which makes this recipe Vegan. Sometimes I like to add mayo to the dressing. So.. yeah.

I’m clearly not a vegan 🌱. I mostly consume animal based protein (whey) post workout. I received these samples from @olenaworld recently and was super stoked to try out the plant based protein supplement that comes in two variants, protein elixir (wellness supplement) and a performance based protein (evolve-as shown in the picture).
To be very honest, I have tried a plant based soy supplement prior to this and I wasn’t quite happy with the chalky taste. But olena has changed my perception. The chocolate flavor is pretty smooth and mixability is A+. Plus it’s comparatively very light on the gut as compared to whey.
I would recommend it to anyone who’s trying to switch to veganism or is lactose intolerant or just wants to switch up things for a while.
