This was an incredible morning. I woke up at 5:20 and drove to Huntington Beach. I got there about 25 minutes before first light so I could scout some locations quickly before taking all of my gear out. It was cold and the moisture in the air did not help. The forecast called for 6-10ft surf. I knew the clouds could present some interesting shots, but I never anticipated that this would happen. There was a group of surfers out there, and I knew I wanted to get this shot. I stood on the pier right as the sun was casting beautiful light on the moody blue clouds. Some of the most rewarding experiences come when you wake up before everybody else.
After back-to-back-to-back exams I met up with Mack for an early morning portrait session before my flight home. Felt so good to take my time without worrying about the stress of academia. Just free time to play with the winter sun.
Had a great time road-tripping around the Yucatan with these superstars. Going to be posting some more travel oriented photos over the next few weeks, let me know what you think! Have you ever been to Mexico 🇲🇽 ?
