A trip to the highlands isn’t complete without visiting lots of castles! Dunrobin castle has been on my bucket list for a while and it didn’t fail to impress 🏰 It was raining so hard the whole day, but i was determined to get a photo of it in autumn! Not pictured is me running through the gardens, hiding under a tree and frantically wiping the lens with my sleeve to get this shot 😅
I’m guess there are about 70 years between these two images. It’s a slow transition, but I love how it this video turned out. #Dunrobin is not really in bad shape for a 170 year old. #historyinpictures
Yesterday at 4:30pm, I was stuck in my car, pulled over on the side of the highway with my little sister ( @sabrinahoddz )and my 4 month old niece, in what we thought was just a really bad storm. It took us an hour and a half to drive the 30km from Arnprior to Renfrew. We only made it one exit on the highway before exiting and taking the back roads at 20km/hr.
While we were pulled over, every awful situation raced through my head. I thought "How am I going to get this mom and child home safely? This rests on my shoulders"
My heart breaks for the individuals and families that lost their homes and the people who were trapped in their basements fearing for their lives.
Volunteered in #Dunrobin on Saturday. Lots of volunteers still needed for clearing up what the #Tornado left behind!

In November of 2016, as part of the documentary Common Casualty, @coachsull55 talked about his love for living in the town of Dunrobin. This past Friday Dunrobin was hit particularly hard by a tornado that touched down in the Ottawa region. Numerous people have been displaced and are seeking help in their rebuilding process.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the victims and you can help out by clicking here!
