Our last meal in Shanghai. [End spamming your feed with dumplings.] Loved all the different flavors of dumplings. My fave was the black truffle 🤤 #eattherainbow

Sooo disappointed in this place!
I use to love this place soo much, maybe because it’s the holidays and the wait is like 2 hours and they are way toooo busy.
The best things were obviously the dumplings and anything steamed.
The actual food dishes were soooo bad.
Ordered some noodles, they were greasy and just nasty, worse than the cheapest Chinese food joint in the hood lol.
The shrimp fried rice, over priced and tasteless!
I had a couple of questions about the beef broth.
I wanted to share with my friend so I asked if it was enough, the service said no and recommended something else.
I asked about the beef broth with noodles that was on the same page she made the recommendation.
I asked if it was enough for 2, she said yes.
Obviously it’s more money, which is fine.
What doesn’t make since is....
The broth is the same portion as the smaller beef broth, adding the noodles.
How does that make sense?
If I would of know I would of said less noodles more broth. Lol
We served it and all we had was a tiny amount of broth and tons of tasteless noodles.
Never ordering any but the steamed items.
Service was great though #chinesefood#dintaifung#dumplings#glendale#foodie#shrimp#chicken#pork#noodles#friedrice#rice
Digging into a perfect plate of chicken and dumplings is the food equivalent of putting on your favorite, coziest sweater - but ten times more delicious 😊✨ #winterbod#longbeach

Cold weather calls for some hot food 🔥🔥🔥 My Korean friends ordered this for us so idk if I’m calling it the right name but i think this was Spicy Uhmooktang (fish cake soup) with mandu (dumplings), ramen, and gimmari (fried seaweed rolls). This place is super hole-in-the-wall and they don’t speak a lot of English but that’s what made it amazing 😍 I love it when I find a restaurant that makes me feel like I’ve teleported to another country. 🙌🏼

Spotlight on the 3rd course of #JunziChefTable December series:
One of several dumplings we served for our silk road dumpling flight: a Georgian Khinkali, a soup dumpling of lamb and pork belly spiced with coriander, caraway, parsley, dill, and mint, tied up with a thick knot of dough at the top, and boiled to order.
The dumpling should be picked up with your fingers by the top knot, the first bite at the bottom drains out the soup, and the subsequent bites move you around the knot, which you don’t eat.
Currently can’t sleep, so I’m in my kitchen making these for breakfast. Lol Who’s coming for breakie? 🙋🏻♀️ .
Bánh bột lọc nhân tôm – Vietnamese Chewy Tapioca Shrimp Dumplings.
Chewy, beautiful translucent treasures harboring shrimp inside. These little clear packages are a labor of love. So much that I’ve made them in various versions. This one is simply… just making a tapioca starch dough using the below ingredients then formed into 18 little balls, and roll out in circular shape to wrap as I would a wonton dumpling.
Servings: 18 dumplings
Here’s the wrapper ingredients:
1 Cup Tapioca Starch
½ Cup Boiling Water
½ tsp Salt
2 Tbsps Cooking Oil
Tips: Slowly pour in boiling water and fold in your starch, this will help cook the dough.
For the fillings you will need:
• 9 Shrimp cleaned, deveined and sliced in half
• 1 tsp brown sugar
• ¼ tsp ground pepper
• ½ tsp paprika • ¼ tsp salt
• ½ tsp granulated garlic
Nuoc Mam Cham – our pre-mixed diluted Fish sauce
Combine the following and stir until completely dissolved:
• 1/2 Cup water
• 2 Tbsps Fish Sauce
• 3 Tbsps Sugar
• 1 Tbsp Vinegar
• ¼ tsp salt • Thai chili for a kick
Scallions in oil:
• Few chopped green onions
• Drizzle of Cooking oil • A tiny pinch of salt
• Microwave for 45 seconds.
Enjoy my friends.
