Geologist’s Cabin at the base of Manly Peak in Death Valley. Built by “Panamint Russ” in 1930 soon after he discovered gold in the nearby hills. Quite the view of Striped Butte from inside of the cabin and also from the outhouse near where I took this shot.
Two couples who got on their KTMs and left on a journey across Latin America the exact same week in August 2017.
After almost a year of stalking each other on social media, we are stoked to be traveling the mountains of Peru with Notier Frontiers for awhile.
[ #MotoFitTip ] One of the best exercises for ladies who ride: Inverted Rows 💪🏼👌🏼
These are top notch for building upper back and grip strength. Which are two things we can never have enough of if we want to ride our best and hardest.
Our upper back is the foundation of our upper body strength and we need it to be solid in order to keep our shoulders healthy and resilient, prevent us from slouching and be able to handle our bikes with confidence.
Grip strength…I mean, 👊🏼✊🏼👊🏼✊🏼I don’t need to tell you how imperative this is to moto 😆 But grip and foream strength go hand in hand (no pun intended) and a stronger, more conditioned grip can help stave off arm pump and keep us safe under fatigue.
And you’ll def feel the burn in your forearms doing these 😅🔥
👉🏼You can use a barbell on rack or a smith machine for these. Set it up about hip height. However the more horizontal you are the harder these will be, so adjust as needed.
👉🏼Grab the bar a little bit wider than shoulder width, squeeze your glutes and row by pulling your lower chest towards the bar.
👉🏼As you pull, squeeze your shoulder blades together and down towards your back pockets.
👉🏼If you need to, bend your legs to make these easier
Start with 3 sets of 5-8 reps, resting 60-90 sec between sets.
Inverted rows are a staple in #GnarlyBabesFitness workouts. In GBF we have 3 phases of workouts over 12 weeks tailored to make you a stronger rider and each phase building off the previous phase to set you up to progress. The best part is every time you walk in the gym, you know *exactly* what to do for the day 🙂
