We met artist Alex Jones a few years ago when this watercolor painting of El Jefe was still a work-in-progress. Alex was inspired by recent news of borderland jaguars, which led him to the Northern Jaguar Project. He has donated the 40x72" original for Jaguar-Arte in Tucson tomorrow night. We hope you will join us!
These art auctions are a celebratory time to gather, meet, and mingle with all of our jaguar-loving friends. We have a new 4k-resolution jaguar video to share with you. There will be Sonoran fare and regional bebidas. Pedro y Los Líricos are the snazzy musicians, so you will want to bring your dancing shoes.
There are now 80+ pieces of jaguar and wildlife art for you to bid on and take home. The stunning creativity and sheer diversity is incredible.

New Directions in Yoga Practice, Culture and Service ✨
From Yoga Journal International: “Part philosopher and part critic, Matthew Remski is a provocative, public, and trenchant voice in modern yoga. Exhibiting a poet’s proclivity for nuance and discovery, his What Are We Actually Doing In Asana (WAWADIA) project is a deep dive into the complexities facing teachers and yoga students today
—examining topics as diverse and related as the psychological causes of injury and naive devotion to gurus.”

City nights in the rain.
The other day in my stories, I asked if people liked street photography. 16-7 in favor of it. I enjoy it. Some say it's invasive, I like to think of it as candid lifestyle. I'm still getting used to shooting street, so it's not where I like to be.
I had arrived earlier in the evening expecting rain, or at least puddles and wet pavement. The hourly forecast said it wouldn't rain until 2-3AM. I wasn't gonna wait. So I ate Texas Belt Buckle at Lindy's (mighty tasty). When I came out, it was coming down hard. I walked from 4th Avenue to Stone and Congress and around to La Cocina area. This is the first series of 10 that I will post of city nights in the rain. Hope you like some of them.
Jaguar-Arte will also feature some favorite national and international artists, including Australian Nathan Ferlazzo. @mariniferlazzo shares his love of nature and wildlife through intricate pen and ink illustrations that capture people’s imagination. A limited edition print of this cougar will be part of our silent auction this Friday night in Tucson. Nathan has donated two pieces. In addition to the puma, you have to come see his jaguar in person. It’s really incredible!
