#Matahom is a #Bisaya word used to describe something beautiful or pleasing to the eye. #Sunsets signify the passing of a day and serve as a reminder of rest. The dusk, much like the sun and moon it sets apart, has been the focus of human interest since the dawn of time. I am used to seeing the sun drown in a burst of fiery red in Manila, or sink below rusting roofs here in Cavite. But the sun in #Candabong sets in a different direction and prompts the looker to appreciate the different perspective. Nindot nga pagsalop sa adlaw! Far from the featureless suburbia I grew up in Bacoor, #Anda is a tapestry of whites, greens, and a million shades of blue, punctuated by the dilaab of the afternoon sun. Every place can be beautiful, even this drab, gray suburbia I call hometown, but seeing something new is always welcome and essential. Like the tide, life must ebb and flow, rise and fall. With every change, we are made to see more beauty and be more human. You can travel, and you can stay at home, but whatever you choose, always find something new and #beautiful to live for. Maayong gabi-i!
We can’t get over the lovely Filipino food we had @friendsandfamilyph especially this tasty fresh buko. Friends and Family offers party packages as well as Christmas solo sales, and platers you can order from this season. Our write up on the classic Filipino restaurant is up now on our website.
