I posted a similar post a few weeks ago. For some people it really resonated, but I also got a lot of people in the comments confused at what I was saying. This means I didn’t convey its message well. So here is my second shot at this. It’s important enough to share with you again.
A diagnosis or label can serve us beyond our awareness. What does this mean? If you really want to heal you need to ask yourself: does my sickness fulfill a need of mine?
A knee jerk reaction might be: NO! Of course not. And there’s a part of this that could be true. Intellectually we do not believe we might have wrapped our identity in sickness or get some other emotional payoff.
These are answers that can only be answered in silence with self.
In order to heal we need to let different parts of us die. Sound dramatic? Maybe. But it’s true. There’s definitely a mourning part of a new identity that people don’t talk enough about.
We can attach emotionally to parts of current self and it blocks us from the future self we want to create #selfhealers
Don't allow your dreams to die within you. Don't look back on life and regret not trying and giving it your all to make it happen. Even if you fail, you'll be glad you tried in the long run.

Today’s workout was during hour 38 of a 40 hour fast and holy crap did it get tiring by the latter end.
This was technically the third workout within that fasting window and surprisingly I managed to hit all the projected numbers for the entire session.
I’m really enjoying intermittent fasting and I’m further enjoying experimenting with longer duration fasts. There’s an obvious health benefit to employing them regularly which has been heavily researched and documented but further than that comes the psychological challenge of pushing your own perceived limits and bucking societal norms.
It was oddly empowering to realize that I could go 40 hours without food even though it is so readily available almost every which way that we turn.
Tomorrow I will return to my normal fasting regimen. In about two weeks my goal is to successfully complete a 48 hour fast which will set a new milestone achievement.
The goal is a full 1 week fast.
I’m going to treat it identically to how I treat progressions in the gym and work at it in bite sized progressions that allow me to further develop my confidence and ability to successfully execute the task simultaneously.
SSB Good Morning – 250 lbs x 1 set x 5 reps / 225 lbs x 4 sets x 5 reps.
Low Bar Squat – 352 lbs x 10 sets x 1 rep.
Low Sled Drag – 300 lbs x 4 sets x turf & back.
Reverse Hyper – 360 lbs x 3 sets x 10 reps.

Many tend to have “analysis paralysis”. We over-analyze things so much that we never actually decide or act. Ultimately, this also means that the desired outcome never takes place.

You weren’t meant to connect. Are they bad people? No! They just aren’t your people.
Find people who inspire and push you and it will propel you into your ‘best life.’ 🤣😂

Some people find it very hard to believe that I am not motivated EVERY SINGLE DAY!!! 🙄 Heard it as recent as yesterday. Why?? I'm only human! As passionate as I am about my personal and professional goals, I have days when I'm tired, don't feel like going to the gym, don't feel like prepping my food, don't feel like working on my business, don't feel like doing the 20 minute daily reading session with my kids, having my house picked up, taking my dog for a walk....blah blah blah. The list goes on. Are you with me?! I guarantee you feel some of those things too. It is completely normal to feel this way once in a while. It doesn't mean you're not passionate about what you're doing or that you won't be successful. It's called life. There are ups and downs. Good days and bad days. But that doesn't mean I dont get sh*t done. The question is are you going to give into these feelings and emotions and let them overtake your life OR are you going to put those shoes on, tie the shoe laces and go on that 5am run outside (or whatever it may be) no matter how you're feeling inside. That's called discipline. Only then you will see results! .

6 things we’ve gotta nag the contractor about on this dupe and it’s finished. Even with being able to save some of the original floors (which I LOVE) still cost us $85k to tear this building apart and put it back together again. Designed it as a 3 bed/1 bath upstairs and a 2 bed/2 bath downstairs. We kept taking breaks to do other projects so it took us 5 months to get out of this building 💀. One of my favorite things to do is to move a property from our builders risk policy to our landlords policy. We all get our kicks differently 🤷🏾♀️
