La strada sembra lunga e inizialmente sempre uguale, a ogni curva continui a dire "beh?". E poi arrivi qui. La pace assoluta.

I am looking forward to coming back to the green island again. Hiking in Kerry and exploring hidden places... I am missing this special atmosphere there and of course the feeling to be free. Even beeing at the same places again and again doesn't feel the same. The nature and light never will be the same as the moment you left behind. It is like a canvas that is painted every time a little bit different....
Dingle was magical 🤗🇮🇪 We got a bluebird day for the Dingle Peninsula, but we’ll have to come back to see the Ring of Kerry again... we finally found the rain on day 7. Off to the cliffs of Moher #irishholiday#dinglepeninsula
On 18 August we will be taking the first step in creating a community archive to preserve and share the stories of Annascaul. Anyone with old documents, photographs, objects is welcome to come and have them scanned or photographed... and please bring the stories associated with them too. Please drop in to the Community Care Centre and help us to gather together the stories of agriculture, rural life, emigration, family history and old trades and crafts (among other things). If it's old and it has a story we're interested!
The 26th of August is Water Heritage Day and this is being marked in Annascaul by a series of diverse events.
At 10:30 am in the Jerome Connor Gallery Dr. Andy Fogarty, Athlone IT will present an interactive lecture. The talk entitled “Water Life in a Pristine River” will be followed by a field trip in which participants will carry out macro-invertebrate analyses of the river.
The afternoon events will centre around the theme of “Springs, Wells and Water Fountains”. After lunch John Hanifin will give a walking tour of Annascaul recounting tales of the old wells and springs that supplied water to the village and were often the location of gossip and controversy! This will be followed by a brief talk at the Jerome Connor Gallery about the history of the village’s four attractive pillar fountains or water pumps which the
Annascaul Tidy Towns Action Group is currently restoring.
Final details of these events are still being planned. Please keep up to date at the official Annascaul Tidy Towns Action Group Facebook page
Life is short and is full of obstacles we do our best to overcome. So when you have the opportunity, kiss a stone (kissed by hundreds of thousands) for good luck, travel to a different part of the world, embrace a new culture, take a stroll on the other side of the road (literally) and just try to remember that whatever low you might be in...it won’t last forever. But memories you make an effort to create, will. ——————————
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.
