Reason #2 to Get a Chemical Peel: say goodbye to your highlighters. Chemical peels are an effective way to get your glow on without makeup. Look how dewy her skin is!
@laurieish calls herself the kinda beauty blogger but we think her posts also make her a photographer/comedian/cool girl #regram • “Acne doesn’t deserve this pretty packaging but thank you, @coverdotacne! I love how thin this acne patch is as well as the matte finish. It’s perfect for when you’re trying to be a bit more discreet.”

What is a Keloid?
When skin is injured, scar tissue forms over the wound to repair and protect the injury. In some cases, scar tissue grows excessively forming a scar called a keloid. Keloid scars can be much larger than the original wound.
Keloid scars are not harmful to your health, however they may cause cosmetic concerns.

Results are not achieved overnight. This sweet soul has been my patient for three years.
The top photo you see is prior to any treatments with me in 2015, but since then, she has done Kybella to slim the jowls and submentum (double chin), laser treatments to improve the tone and texture of her skin, and multiple sessions of full-facial filler. I injected her jawline and chin today, and the bottom photo is immediately post injection, which is why she does have a bit of bruising present.
Swipe -> to see pre and post today’s treatment.
Aesthetic treatments are not permanent, nor do many of them give instant gratification. If you want to use injectables and other aesthetic treatments to age more gracefully, realize that most treatments are not “one and done”. These results are a result of a committed patient who has trusted the process. I think she’s glad she did 😉
#repost@taylorpaige_aesthetics I am guilty of committing naughty skin sins before I ever became a Licensed Aesthetician or learned about skin care/skin health/skin protection
My Top 3 mistakes I made :
1️⃣ Layed in the sun constantly/ went to the tanning salon!!!!
2️⃣ Used witch hazel as a toner
3️⃣ Washed my face with apricot scrub
What kind of skin/beauty mistakes do you look back on and deeply regret? Comment below ⬇️
The skin is the largest organ of the human body and about 18% of an adult’s body weight.
Skin has three layers:
🔸The epidermis, the outermost layer of skin, provides a waterproof barrier and creates our skin tone.
🔸The dermis, beneath the epidermis, contains tough connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands.
🔸The deeper subcutaneous tissue (hypodermis) is made of fat and connective tissue.
Our skin helps us regulate the body’s temperature and protects us from germs. The best way to maintain healthy skin is to prevent skin damage from occurring in the first place. Ultraviolet radiation from sun can cause wrinkles, age spots and even cancer. As we age our skin becomes thin and saggy and unfortunately aging process is unavoidable. Stress and unhealthy lifestyle also contribute into aging skin.
Here are a few tips on how to maintain a healthy skin: -Wash your face using a gentle cleanser daily
-Exfoliate the skin twice a week to remove dead cells
-Apply a moisturizer immediately after a shower or bath
-Wear sunscreen with a SPF 15+
-Get a good amount of sleep every day
-Try to give your skin break from makeup
-Quit smoking and avoid stress
-Maintain a healthy diet and drink lots of water

Kojic Acid Based Skin Care🌿
The most effective way to get a brighter skin tone is to tamper with the synthesis of melanin, a pigment that gives skin its color. The more melanin a skin has the darker the color is; so to get a lighter skin you need to decrease melanin levels.
Kojic acid penetrates the skin and goes into the deep cellular layers to inhibit dark pigmentation from forming. It does this by hindering the enzyme tyrosinase, which is responsible for regulating the production of melanin. .
Kojic acid can be found in our Glow Cream, Turmeric Scrub, Glutathione Soap, and Vitamin C Serum making our products great for hyper pigmentation, skin brightening, and skin discoloration.
Bright and early today to visit @faceofjules 💎 The sun, make up, stress; so many things can havoc your skin and the older I get the more I understand the importance of facials and treatments for your skin (I wanna be young forever lol). Today we did dermaplaning combined with the shine bright like a diamond oxygen facial and I can’t wait to see how my skin responds to it in the next couple of days 😍. Julie is a very hardworking woman and she knows what she is doing. Definitely worth a visit 👌🏼 @faceofjules
tell me again how I just needed to quit milk to fix my face, I dare ya.
today vs 4months ago vs 6months ago
cystic acne healing is S L O W, and then all at once, and then a lot of ‘holy shit, did my skin really look like that? did I really show up for work every day? did I really not lock myself indoors and retreat into a pit of self loathing and despair?’ [most certainly fought the daily urge to do the latter for a good while] [[almost certainly would have quit my job if it weren’t for dermatology bills.]]
a year ago I’d never known a cyst on my skin. definitely didn’t know acne could get so bad so quickly. certainly still sometimes feel a sense of loss for the clear and unscarred skin I used to have, as well as for all the time this year I spent feeling hideous and judged and wrong and unlovable. Not to mention all the time I spent succumbing to popularised misconceptions and blaming myself for a difficult medical condition I had zero control over. And the past 10months would all feel really quite unfair and meaningless if I didn’t believe there is some good coming from what was- and sometimes still is- an unpleasant time. There’s the good in the invaluable things it’s taught me and there’s the good in the way you sweet souls tell me reading about those things helps you. Thanks for sticking around to see these three photos, and thanks for helping me bring meaning to a tough few months and a painful skin condition.
6months from now all will be different again, and I have no doubt more of you will be able to join me in your own disbelief at how far you’ve come.
So just like hang in there and keep going and know there are brighter days to come 🌞
Spending my Sunday on call! Heading in soon to see a couple of patients and then hopefully the rest of the day won’t be too crazy so I can work on a grand rounds presentation for later this week 😬 are y’all having a relaxing Sunday or a busy Sunday? 💕
