When dental insurance started it was great - as many with insurance for many years know, the amount your dental insurance company pays for your benefits has sadly not changed. #dentist#dentalinsurance#906familydentistry
For our community’s federal workers, trying to make every dollar stretch, South Shore Dental wants to help. We are putting federal workers out-of-pocket expenses on hold until the government opens back up. This allows patient portions to be paid later, but get their dental care now! 720-361-2815 [email protected]
We're back with our next installment of #FAQFridays answering common dental care questions, from tips to finding a new dentist.
If you have a question you'd like to see us feature, include it in the comments below. Also, you can read even more articles like this one at the link in our profile (Home>About>Articles). Today's question: Do You Accept Dental Insurance?
At Gordon Center for General and Advanced Dentistry, we work with all dental insurance companies. We are considered an “out of network” provider.
This means we are not under contract with any insurance companies. (Dental insurance plans often tell dentists the treatment they should pursue—not necessarily the treatment that’s indicated.) We individualize care and provide you with the very best experience. It gives us the freedom to schedule your appointments based on the time you need, as well as to discuss treatment options and diagnose you based on years of clinical experience and success.
As a fee for service office, we request payment in full at the time of service. We accept all major credit cards, check and cash for payment.
Our office will electronically file your claim and all supporting documentation with your insurance company on the day of service. This will help you receive your maximum allowed dental benefit as soon as possible—and it means there is no additional work on your end.
Most PPO insurance companies will help you with a portion of the cost of your dental care when you see an out of network provider; this reimbursement check will be mailed directly to you.
It really is sad that dental insurance coverage hasn’t changed in over 40 years, despite the changes in the economy and the cost of living. 😞
When our patients come to our office, we do an excellent job in explaining their insurance benefits to them!

Dental insurance hasn’t increased in decades. If dental insurance had kept pace with inflation, the yearly maximum would be around $5500-$6000 today. Unfortunately, it hasn’t. If you are looking at dental plans, make sure to call our amazing office manager Jessica who will be able to answer your questions about insurance to find the right plan for you.
What a beautiful thing it is to be able to place an implant. A simple solution that many are excited for!

One of these days I’m going to get liquored up and do a whole show bemoaning the fact that there is no such thing as dental “insurance “ and that such companies are the biggest joke and profit racket in health care... but today is not that day. This weekend however... 😉
