Fresh local produce from Aldergrove!
Guys I am loving my new CSA delivery from Glorious Farms.
CSA stands for community shared agriculture. How it works is I buy into the farm ($600) for the year and in return get fresh produce delivered to my doorstep every week from June to October.
Each week I receive a box filled with fresh, seasonal produce from their farm. The produce varies and I love trying new greens and veggies.
I am feeling very connected to my food. Yes, I still eat avocados (not local or sustainable) but I have been sourcing my meat and fish ethically and eating so much more local organic produce.
Have you tried a CSA program before?
They are good for your health, the environment and the local economy. It feels good to put money back into the pockets who live near by and who are growing my food 💚

05/09 // WHO’S OUR AUDIENCE?
Since most of the locals in the area are already familiar with Honey Doughnuts, we knew we were mostly targeting tourists and outdoor enthusiasts visiting the area.
MOBILE USERS // The mobile experience for customers is key here as many will be searching for cafes or restaurants during their visit. Looking at the current website’s analytics data, we knew that more than 50% of the current website traffic came from mobile devices and we need to keep catering to this audience.
TOURISTS // Tourists sometimes visit Deep Cove specifically to enjoy a Honey’s Doughnut. Honey’s has received a lot of positive coverage in the media that has given them international attention. Many celebrities, including Kate Winslet, profess their love for Honeys and it has brought them a lot of attention, especially on food blogs, social media, and in the newspapers.
OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS // Outdoor enthusiasts looking to reward themselves after enjoying the many Deep Cove activities such as hiking Quarry Rock, kayaking, paddle boarding, and enjoying picnics in the park in the summer. In the summer there is a concert series which is a popular attraction for locals and tourists.
LOCALS // Even thought they're not the main audience, we still can’t forget about the Deep Cove locals! Honeys loves having a place for the community to gather. It was important that we feature events happening at Honeys for locals. Honeys now has a central place for their customers to look to see what’s happening at the Cafe. There is currently a giant TV set up for the World Cup soccer and their Jazz and Ukulele nights are a hit!

Community Supported Agriculture - or CSA - is an alternative way of purchasing healthy produce and supporting your local farmers.
Sign up for a share of healthy, certified organic produce that you can pick up weekly at Bluhouse Cafe. As part of our CSA Box Program you can opt in or out each week.
We know that you care about where your food comes from, seasonal eating, and sustainability. Becoming a member of Klippers' CSA box program is a great way to get involved!

To exercise every day or not?
I get asked a lot about how often one should workout.
And the answer isn’t black or white.
You are completely capable of working out 1 hour a day IF you are taking good care of yourself!
• getting enough sleep?
• Eating enough nutrient dense clean whole foods?
• dealing with stress with a self-care routine?
• hydrating? (This one is huge)
Then, after checking off all these important things, you must listen to your body!
How does your body feel? What kind of movement is it craving?
I went for a 7 km run today after biking up Mt Seymour and felt so much better for it. I took it slow and enjoyed being outdoors in nature. Then I stretched for 15 minutes to help really break down any lingering lactic acid and speed along recovery.
So yes, go ahead, workout every day! Your body is capable of amazing things ☀️💪🏼
