The third training ride for @aidslifecycle 2020 was a short, but very hot 🔥, ride through Sedona and around Red Rock Road loop to a hidden state park called Crescent Moon where we cooled off in a cute creek below Cathedral Rock. The ride reminded me of some of the days on the ride where temps can get really hot and the hills destroy your quads. On July 16, I’ll be asking you to help me get to $5k donations for HIV resources and education and so I can ride #545miles to raise awareness in order to #endaids I hope you’ll join me.
Sometimes in order to go forward, you must first go back.
Thoughts are important. If they are good or if they are bad. They are there for a reason.
Sometimes you have better thoughts than others. Sometimes I feel so lost and scared fearing relapse. It’s something that is still so real in my mind.
And sometimes it comes back heavier than others.
Sometimes I feel completely free of it. It’s something I’m learning to deal with.
Honestly, without having a passion I would be so lost and back where I used to be. Never do I want to go back to the bad days. I’ve learnt from them and am growing.
Learning is important.
But, sometimes it’s like two steps forward one step back.
It’s all about making progress.. @bgcyclingteam @rapha_asia @raphacustom
