In exactly a month I’ll be turning 25 😅 I’m anxious but excited .. with every year comes growth and I have a feeling this year is going to my best yet!

It’s a turtleneck and leather leggings sort of day today. I felt like I was a walking ugly fat mess most of the day so I threw on an outfit that makes me feel like Buffy and got back to work. There’s so much work this week and next! 🥂
For my curlies - day 2 no refresh.
How was your day?
So let’s just say who I got my trim from wasn’t my usual gal. And it was, quite frankly, cut really really uneven.
I now know what technique will NOT work for cutting my hair.
I call on my usual hair gal. Whom I apologized to for being unfaithful to.
Told her my problems, and she said ‘I fix, 11:30 tomorrow?’ That was Tuesday. I had my hair cut again on Wednesday. And she fixed me up. She’s cut my hair dozens upon dozens of times. I’ve never got a bad hair cut from her. I don’t even know why I hosted the idea of going to someone else🤯🤯. I’ve had her cut my hair dry and wet. And they BOTH turn out amazing. So I let her do what she wants. I am definitely a little disappointed it took me back on my length, but, I wanted my hair to be even🤷🏽♀️ so it cost me a little length. Alls good tho. So so so thankful for Sarah my hairdresser. Also got to use a funny Meme asking her for help. That was a highlight.
Latest post from @naturallycurly says that frizzy hair is becoming more and more acceptable in the curly community. Do you agree? What about beyond curly community, is frizzy hair becoming more acceptable? At schools, at workplace?
I think there’s still a good way to go, a lot of pre concepts to clear out, but hopefully one day we’ll get there.
My #nofilter wash day results! Here’s what I did!
Lo poo with @nymbrands curl defining shampoo. Conditioned with @nymbrands curl defining conditioner and squished to condish upside down and side to side, rinsed with cool water (can’t do cold, sorry, not gonna happen. 🙅🏻♀️) then put in my leave in @nymbrands yellow, and the combing cream and gel from the same brand. On soaking wet hair.
This did not provide a cast of any kind, so I had to do a little work of re-wetting and re applying product to some areas. And then used a nickel sized amount of the @nymbrands curl cream to really grab so hold and definition.
I’m finding creams work better on my hair than gels, who’s got some good creams they like? #curlcream?
Then, like normal I used a combination of air drying and diffusing to 100%, because #momlife. I didn’t have much crunch but what little I did I SOTC with my leave in and finger fluffed for volume, here I am. I’m happy with it, but I think I can do better. I’m looking forward to getting new products to try. I’ve heard good things about knot today and Cantu products! Any product must haves? Preferably from the grocery store?
There no space for a sedentary lifestyle in my life anymore! In 2019 I am more than ready for a change!

💇♀️ So I did a thing today! I took some scissors to my dead ends and maaaan oh maan does it feel good!! 👯♀️ Tom (the bf!) took this photo of me zoning in on one of my curl babies before I snipped it, see the concentration in my face? 👀
I’ve known I’ve needed a good cut for a long time but I’ve completely lost faith in professional hair salons 😓 I’ve had numerous fry jobs, hack jobs, orange hair jobs but the last time I went I was determined not to leave feeling disappointed. I researched, asked for recommendations and eventually booked an appointment with the best reviewed, most expensive salon in town...
I paid £150 🤢🤢🤢 for a colour and cut. I have never complained after a bad cut, but this was seriously the last straw. They invited me back to fix it, i went along and left with a slightly better frame around my face but I was so saddened to have spent so much money to come out feeling like I could have done it myself👩🦱 LESSON LEARNED: Money doesn’t always equal quality!!!
Well this week I took the plunge and snipped off my dead ends curl by curl 🤭 I had to ask my boyfriend Tom to take the scissors off me because I could have kept going until I had a pixie cut basically 😂
So today marks the start of trimming my own hair forever and always from now on. I feel empowered 💪

• WATCH TILL THE END!!! 😱 Ok guys I tried the ‘squish to condish’ method again 😂 and you know what..... MY RESULTS were soooo much better!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TIPS!! Definitely adding more water helped a lot! 😜 So what else did I do differently? ..... •
• ✨ 1. Used 3 styling products (which I NEVER do) as I wanted more hold so my curls don’t drop too quickly! I used .... @officialkinkycurly knot today @ouidad humidity gel @cantubeautyuk mousse! •
• ✨ 2. Air dried for 20 minutes then diffused the last bit! My curls really do love air drying! 🙊
• ✨3. I tilted my head upside down whilst applying the products for quite some time 😂 I really made sure I scrunched the product in and also added more water whilst doing this!! 💜 •
• What do we think curlies? Does it look better?? COMMENT BELOW 👇🏽💖
🔅Let's talk about CLARIFYING!
Clarifying is great..it can remove product buildup! Clarifying, however, should not be used for each wash as it can remove your natural oils and break down the hairs natural protein forcing your scalp to overproduce oil resulting in sebum buildup and the loss of protein can jeopardize the integrity of your texture. 😱🤪
SO... what can you do?? .
Alternating with a gentle Cleansing Shampoo or Co-Wash will have you covered between your Clarifying weeks and monthly exfoliating routines. The idea is to gently remove product buildup while maintaining the delicate moisture and protein balance healthy hair needs and thrives on!
We got you covered with our Laveder Purity Shampoo and Co-Wash!! These two products are made with a blend of .
Flower Water 🌻🌼
Essential Oils like Rosehip⚘
Wheat Protein 💪
And so much more ...
New year, new projects and many new faces here, so I thought it‘s time to say hi 👋! I‘m Neram, from Germany but haven‘t lived there for ages since life brought me to various countries, with Colombia being the spot where I am currently at, together with my husband and our 3 kiddos. I used to work in brand PR but followed my heart to become a birth worker because yes, I am fascinated by pregnancy, birth, postpartum and all things womb and beyond. Cherry on top, I’ve just entered a program for traditional midwifery here in Bogotá which I am super excited about. I love old movies, tiny cinemas and even smaller bars, all things herbal, especially teas and I am almost always down for a good bowl of Ramen. I look like Rick James when my hair is wet, I listen a lot to radio Fip, have a pretty flat humour and I tend to procrastinate (a lot). Yep, that’s a bit of me...but how about you ? I‘d love to know who you are and how/why you got here ❤️
Today is day 1 since my curly hair cut and I can already see an amazing difference in my hair ➰😍 I finally decided to stop damaging my hair by using products that contained harmful ingredients/chemicals as well as applying heat to it as much as I did. About a couple of months ago I was straightening my hair almost every week! I want to finally see my hair grow naturally and how versatile it can be. •
I started off by using Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair Cleansing Cream Shampoo ✨ as well as Cantu’s Hydrating Cream Conditioner ✨
After applying and rinsing the product off I applied the Cantu Leave-In Conditioning Cream by working from the bottom of my hair up to the roots. 😊 Then, I applied the Cantu Curl Activator Cream and let my hair air dry.🤗
As of right now, I like the Cantu products I used and I’m excited to stumble upon different products and try them out too. ☺️✨ ———————————————————
