This post has nothing to do with leaves and everything to do with keeping it real. (Also, I miss Spokane so there’s that.) Lately, my ears have been causing me problems because my years of wearing fake jewelry are finally catching up to me. I’ve been throwing away any earrings that have caused even the slightest irritation. You know the ones I mean. They’re usually turning green or much more dull in color but you pretend it’s all fine because who has the kind of money to buy REAL stuff? I suppose I thought I could get away with it for long enough, that it wouldn’t really matter. But the things is, it does.
Just like intentions and the people we surround ourselves with, the fake stuff will harm you over time. It isn’t noticeable at first but eventually, the damage is too great not to take action. And friends, this is where I’ve been at right now. A mental health struggle and the approaching holiday season have me in an identity paralysis. But, I am taking the steps and making necessary changes because you all know your girl isn’t one to sit idly by. So, in this upcoming weekend and in your life, let me encourage you. Remove the bad bits that are holding you back. The toxic relationships and people you can’t connect with. Remove the fear of not being your true self and delving into whatever big dreams you have. Remove the unhealthy habits and the fake stuff. You’ll feel better and see clearer. When you make room for what’s real and true to you, restoration can begin. And damn if you don’t sparkle like you never have before. Happy Friday friends. 💕

Anyone else wishing fall would've stayed a bit longer?!?! I miss the crunch of the leaves under my feet & the bright blue skies! 🍂
