lately, I’ve been contemplating this concept of multi-generational identity:
the sense of belonging to a tribe who demonstrates continuity of knowledge, culture, resources and language spanning multiple generations.
Breiðamerkursandur is a
sand plain that stretches approximately 18 kilometres along Iceland’s South Coast. What is so special about this beach: the icebergs which fill the nearby Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon are washed up on shore, standing dazzling and defiant in stark contrast to the black sand beach. Like diamonds in the sun they sparkle on the black beach and transform the Breiðamerkursandur into a glowing field of ice. I was fascinated by this place 💎 When do you think this photo is taken? Day or night?
