🇬🇧 Endeavor, game that I bought without thinking too much. I love it, played in four people gives you a lot of emotions. I recommend it to many players, in two people the game loses its charm. The components are excellent and the box inserts are spectacular. You will need three boards to play but it will be worth it.
Medium level game: Approved 👌.
🇮🇹 Endeavor, gioco comprato senza troppo pensarci.
As promised, here we are!
Tzolk'in inspired illustration and a short review.
Tzolk'in Is a really well made game.
I've enjoyed every game we've played and it has the peculiarity of leaving you with the desire to play it again.
In Italy we say "La coperta è sempre troppo corta" that is literally "the blanket Is always too short". Is a figure of speech to say that if you concentrate on something, something else will be out of your control ( if you pull the blanket to cover your shoulders, your feet will not be covered, and viceversa).
This is a summary to describe Tzolk'in gameplay.
You have to control the gears movement, the amount of corn in order to place your workers and to eat at the end of each era, the gods' temples to gain extra resources and victory points... Etcetera
The most interesting dynamic is the worker placement: in your turn you can place workers or take them from the gears and return them in your hand, but you can't do both! So you have to think a lot about your next move, not only because you might end to be forced to remove a worker before time, but also because place two or more workers in the same turn will cost you an additional amount of corn.
Then you have to collect the resources in order to build monuments and buildings to gain benefits and victory points.
Is a complicated game, in which you have to think few moves ahead, like a chess game.
If you're new to structured board games I suggest not to play Tzolk'in as your first, if instead you're not new to german-like, set collection, worker placement games I strongly recommend you Tzolk'in.
If you want to know how to play Tzolk'in you can watch @firstname.lastname@example.org review and game playthrough.
Hope you like my Tzolk'in inspired illustration and review 😉
Stay tuned and let me know if you play Tzolk'in and you like It.
