Being a tourist in your current home base takes a little more motivation, but rarely lets you down. On our quick stop in Pittsburgh we actually got to slow down and really take in The Strip. It’s usually so crowded on the weekends and I’m on a mission, but this time we got to witness an unusually quiet Wholeys and noticed some of the murals. We also made a stop at the visiting replicas for the OGs of worldly exploration - The Nina and The Pinta. #couplestravels#roadtrips#Pittsburgh#TheStripPittsburgh#Wholeys#tourists@columbusships
One more day in NYC? Suuuure! After a 4 hour delay on our flight we were canceled. And will now leave at 12:30 tonight. Missing a day in the city of love is never fun! But we will make the best of it and enjoy our time no matter where we are🤷🏻♀️ Which is currently a hotel gym🤣💪🏼
“We know uncertain, it’s something we’ve handled before.” Dillion’s bit of sage wisdom to summarize the last few challenging months, which have been quite challenging despite our travel pursuits. This brings me to the “resiliency” memory - one of my favorites to reflect on during tough times. Here we are at a restaurant in Almaty, Kazakhstan after another long, grueling day on desert road with our overheating Suzuki Alto. My hair styling is courtesy of an organic sand and sweat compound with crooked glasses (just tryin’ start a trend, ya know?) And even though we couldn’t find our hostel, had been nearly tee-boned and were melting, we still kept trucking along. Right to this lovely restaurant where Dillion would later get food poisoning because, it’s not adventure without at least one stomach ailment. #roadtrips#couplestravels#kazakhstan#almaty#resilience#mongolrally#mongolrally2013#whyigotmarried
I would have never known almost 5 years ago I would travel the world with @emilyobr1. Seeing every corner of the world with this gorgeous woman is everything to me.
The 3 photos on the left was almost 5 years ago before we knew anything about traveling. 👭👩❤️💋👩🚀💺💺🏩🎡🏕🥂🌈
Dinner after a long day of rain. First, these are the best tacos so far. I had the costilla, fajita de pollo and chorizo. Dillion had the pastor. All amazing and our roadside ambiance got even better when the power went out and we had dinner by candlelight. This was of course after the second downpour on us after we just dried off. But hey, I love a “not so perfect” vacation! #beachvacations#tulummexico#couplestravels#streetfood#tacos#gowiththeflow

Sometimes life gives you sargassum. Seriously, no filter can save this hot mess. This is a perfect example of the reality vs Instagram. We came to Tulum in search of those postcard worthy turquoise blue waters and were served nature’s diarrhea. It smells like it too. So apparently the sargassum phenomenon happens every 5 years or so and can last up to 2, creating this very unappealing image. This is not the first time we’ve been thwarted in our travel efforts but we just see it as reason to keep trying. #tulummexico#beachvacations#couplestravels#sargassumsucks#paradiseunfiltered
