Clothe yourselfs with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness & patience. Colossians 3:12
I try to demonstrate this in my everyday life, for Timothy my husband, Lydia my daughter, and myself. I don't want to be a wife and mother that is constantly at her wits end. I pray that God will continue to guide me, and help me become the woman he created me to be.
Salsa getting ready to can, @sneedacres from scratch cake eith a little extra birthday love going into the over to bake for our birthday gal, and more tomatoes getting ready to be pealed and thrown in a ceock pot for pizza sauce. Makes for a perfect start to @iamcountryside theme of the week. #inthekitchen#countrykitchen
In my little country working kitchen, today and every day, there are dirty dished to do, something cookin and littles laughing. This time of the year, I add in the extra work of putting by summers harvest.
A cheeky mid-afternoon snack for us, cos’ we’re worth it! We’ve been busy all day with the new kitchen refit and I’ve been checking and editing the design of my new book, which was sent over last Friday. So here we have a hot crumpet with a very goodly dollop of my homemade seedless blackberry jam, which is utterly delicious. Tangy and lemony with a wonderful bramble flavour. I’ve made jam and jelly with my recent blackberry haul, but this is my favourite. The recipe will be on Lavender and Lovage very soon.
OK so this isn’t quite how my kitchen looks at the moment. I am still in the process of setting up my new workroom and there is still a lot of paperwork and piles of lampshade making sundries cluttering up my table. I’m getting there though - moving everything in methodically - I’m determined that I don’t keep any clutter and I want to know that I can put my hands on anything I need at a moment’s notice. I’ve found all sorts of stuff I didn’t know I had - bonus! Just waiting for my new work table top to be fitted and my sewing machine table to be constructed. 😍😍😍 Exciting (for me at least). .
