Oh you know... just went for a lazy 2km swim in the Coral Sea 🌊 Here I am casually making my way to shore... as you do. No rush, Leah 😎. -
Massive panic attack aside (thx to some pre-race shark 🦈 spotting further out); I’m really very happy with how this went. Not so sure about the 7 turns we had to make but I guess it broke it up. And possibly, for the first time ever, the later wave starters didn’t ALL catch me.

A traditional outrigger sailing canoe at Panapompom island in the Louisiade archipelago of PNG.
These vessels are still made and sailed through the Milne Bay province, and the knowledge of their construction starts early, with small children making beautiful scale models (swipe left) and setting them free to sail from one island to another!
The trade winds are ubiquitous through this region and have been powering sailing vessels for thousands of years. Our vision is to tap that same energy source with modern multihull yachts to deliver our program of science, marine reserves, and humanitarian aid through the Melanesian arc of the northern Coral Sea.
