When knowledge is thoughts of ideas and concepts . . . it's pure data . . . just information. To communicate these ideas you require the words that express, explain, and articulate. This is also the nature of the prayerful process; it’s all contained in the mechanics of your throat chakra -- a central part of which is the inner ear. Here, the process of prayer brings about the deep and intuitive understandings. This is the part of your anatomy that’s perfectly stimulated by silence and journaling. The creative nature of your wandering stream of consciousness is found here in the throat center. This brain-mind collection of ideas and concepts -- when you’re in prayer mode -- become explanations, instructions, and maps to right actions . . . the answers to your prayers. In the ancient anthologies, many sages wrote about angels gathering around the swirling eddies in the rhythms of conscious silence. As the stories go, angels are agents of your higher-conscious brain's connection to the universal mind . . . they’re like ‘etheric’ coaches. When angels gather in your silence, they’re blunt, direct, and superbly clear. Their job is not to chat like a buddy, but to challenge your ability . . . all to produce the extraordinary. When angels’ challenge you, and you take it the right way, the challenging experience can be filled with humor . . . they teach you to laugh at yourself. And when the risk is very large, and prayer is a must . . . the deeper your prayer, the more angels show up. Our prayer is that you make this journey through your throat chakra into the journal of your silent voice each day . . . the time is right . . . the moment is here . . . the angels are waiting in your inner ear. Listen for them . . . listen to them . . . it’s in your joyful silence that they speak. They are your essence. SHARE THE LOVE + SUBSCRIBE #Ourprayeris#GuruSinghYogi
Motion generates emotion
How we move not only affects how we feel but also how we think, perhaps even how we perceive the world. Your ability to nurture what you value most in your outer world is directly dependent on your ability to continually evolve into the best version of yourself in your inner world. John Ratey in his book “Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain” (Little, Brown and Co.; reprint edition 2013) points out that as little as 10 to 30 minutes of daily exercise, even a brisk walk, can benefit not just our heart but also our brain. “Starting with evidence that the trunk of nerve cells connecting the cerebellum to the prefrontal cortex are proportionately thicker in humans than in monkeys, it now appears that this motor center also coordinates thoughts, attention, emotions and even social skills. …When we exercise, particularly if the exercise requires complex motor movement, we’re also exercising the areas of the brain involved in the full suite of cognitive functions. We’re causing the brain to fire signals along the same network of cells, which solidifies their connections.”
So in essence, by challenging ourselves with types of movement that include walking or running every day, we make ourselves better in every way.

Beyond a doubt, Lara Gressley is the most qualified person to run for the District Attorney's position in years. All the way from the start of her journey in the Public Defender's Office through her significant #experience as a trial attorney, an appellate lawyer, a respected lecturer and now a partner in her law firm, Lara has developed a profound understanding of and an unyielding #commitment to Criminal Justice Reform. In all she does, Lara exemplifies #honesty, #fairness, and #thoughtfulness and she will use those qualities to bring much needed reform to the criminal justice system in Riverside County. We need Lara. Lara needs you. Vote for her on June 5th. #laragressleyforda#truth#justice#law#riversidecounty#changemakers#dogood#advocate#defender#justiceforall
Lots of people roll their eyes about choosing organic produce... but have you TRIED an organic red pepper?? 🤤
I have never enjoyed fruits and vegetables so much since I started buying from our local health food store & farm stands. 🍏🍓🍉🍑🍅
This salad I made last night GLOWED!! 🌈 Even If you are just dipping ur toes in to the world of organic produce - I encourage you to google the “Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides in Produce.” WASH YO FRUIT FAM. & veggies!!!
This years “dirty dozen” ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ for pesticide contamination (the foods you should WANT to buy organic to be on the safe side), are: strawberries, spinach, nectarines, apples, grapes, peaches, cherries, pears, tomatoes, celery, potatoes and sweet bell peppers.
This is not hippie-dippie fear mongering - these are very real & concerning facts. A single sample of strawberries showed 20 pesticides in this years testing. More than 98% of strawberries, spinach, peaches, nectarines, cherries and apples tested positive for at least one pesticide residue.
A recent study suggests that soaking produce in a solution of baking soda and water is more effective than water rinsing them to get rid of pesticides. Do yourself, & your fam a favor and eat ALL the fruits & veggies, but wash them, & buy organic if you can. 💗
You can get a lot further with love and kindness.
That doesn’t mean you can’t be competitive and hunger.
It just means you can still be real about it all.

@ThisIsNatalie's #MoveSequence : “Begin your practice from whatever state is most truthful.
To tune into that, take what might be your first real inhale of the day and check in.
How does your body feel?
How does your mind feel?
How does your spirit feel?
And then begin.
Download, in order:
1 - Good Times Roll by @Griz
2 - Boom by @Tiesto & @Sevenn
3 - Tilikum by Benjamin Francis Leftwitch
Move 1 - Skaters
Start in a squat, pulsing at the bottom of it to the beat. It’s not just about moving the body to music – it’s about feeling the rhythm take hold. To take this into a skater, jump sideways to the left, landing on your left leg your right lifted behind you. Jump to the right side of your mat, picking up the left foot. Continue jumping left and right on the beat. Allow the song to pick you back up when you begin to tire.
Move 2 - Abs
Start in a plank position with your weight pressing into your knuckles, your shoulders dropped onto your back, and your navel lifting. From there hop the feet outside the yoga mat and then back together. Continue for the length of the song. For a variation, take this in a mountain climber every 8 counts. Use this song + movement to release any frustration, irritation, or stuck emotion.
Move 3 - Heart Clearing
Come to sit on your heels. Lifting the spine long and opening up the chest, extend your arms to the side. Initiating the movement from your heart, create a “C” shape with your arms, moving down and curving upward on the beat. Deepen your breath and allow your nervous system to decompress and recalibrate. At the end, bring the backs of your hands to your quads, lower your chin toward your chest, close your eyes and follow your breath in and out.
The messaging from your intuition is heard when your awareness meets your breath.
How do things feel the same?
How did things change?
Wherever you're at, commit to it.
It won't be there for long.
Have you ever been afraid of being successful? Success is daunting. Make sure you're ready for it. #BecomingTheAlpha
