The San Antonio Food Bank is critically low on supplies so we’ve partnered with @ecocentrosatx and @localsproutfoodhub to collect much needed non perishable items from the #12mostwantedfoods list. Between now and October 19 we’ll be collecting items. Want to join our #community of imposters? Join for your free trial and donate 5 items and we’ll waive your start up fee!! Together we can get food to our more vulnerable neighbors and #closetheloop on food waste!
What a perfect afternoon!!! Despite what my 8 year old thinks, getting together over tea and taking oils is fun!! Thank you ladies for the fun afternoon of support, laughter, and oils. I can’t wait for next time❤️ #oolatea
“We can’t control the future in a literal sense, just the now. Of course, we can learn from the past and can imagine the future. Yet only in the here and now can we actually execute on the things that really matter.” Essentialism (this month’s book club read) is all about focusing on what’s really important instead of wasting time and energy on extraneous things — and that both yesterday and tomorrow. Doing what you can in this moment is how you get ahead. Not working to the bone, or having the brilliant idea, but focusing on what is truly important right now. #mmbookclubmpls
Growing up, I never really felt like I fit in- specifically, I didn't feel like I fit in with other women.
I wasn't part of a sorority, I didn't have a big group of girlfriends, and very often I felt left out. To be honest, I never saw the point of surrounding myself with a group of women when everyone just talked behind each others backs anyways.
After years of personal development work and connecting with my spirituality, I now know why there was a separation between myself and other women.
Fast forward to today, I couldn't imagine my life without the incredible women that support me. And what I now realize is that going through challenging experiences with a group of loving women is so much easier than going through it alone.
I find that many of my clients try to address weight loss, dieting, and exercise by themselves. They feel embarrassed to share that they are struggling and they often feel like 'no one else will understand.'
Once I realized the power of community, I decided that it was important for me to create a small group coaching program instead of working with clients one-on-one. And this is where the magic began.
The truth is that we are not meant to be making healthy lifestyle changes on our own. It takes a community of supportive women to encourage, support, and uplift one another.
Something really beautiful is happening in the world today. We are coming out of an era of separation, judgement, and competition and stepping into a time of collaboration, community, and acceptance.
If you are tired of taking this journey alone, I encourage you to send me a DM to learn more about my Fully Nourished group coaching program that is starting in October.
I'm always always thankful when I push myself to get out of the house and be with friends. Im a huge fan of going out in the evenings but during the day I'm just such a homebody, but it's so easy to get too comfy there and not work on the relationships that are so needed in my life... especially the friendships that sharpen me, and make me a better human for having them. Also my little humans love playing with friends... so there's that. @freshandflourishedlife#community#ironsharpensiron#homebody#homeiscomfy#ilikeyou
We all have the potential to become healthier. I believe that living a truly healthy life begins by taking your health into your own hands. You just need to take time to educate and seek out information. Below are a few tools that helped me achieve that healthier, happier version of myself.
🌿 Educate: Learn new ways to improve your health. Avoid things that harm our bodies and stay consistent with changes that you implement.
🌿 Pursue: It’s not enough to just read and agree – you have to use the tools you have learned to go after the change you are looking for. It could be kicking chemicals out of your home, plant based ingredients, adding quality supplements, exercise or my personal favorite, Young Living essential oils. I only recommend products and tools that I know and trust.
🌿 Community: Change is hard. We need to surround ourselves with like-minded people all on a journey together. No one wants to do this alone. At Wellness in Thyme, we foster a community of like-minded people who are all learning together. Surround yourself knowledge and education.
🌿 Onward: Don't look back, it's never too late to start. As a 48 year old mother of three children (two which are already adults), I often wish I knew what I know today when they were babies. But I can't live with that regret. I’m committed to teaching and modeling for them what living a healthy, toxic-free lifestyle looks like, so hopefully they will chose better for their families.
Why Friendships Are Important for Boys’ Health "For my three-year-old son, his playmates are an endless source of entertainment: They meet up at the park to go down the slide, ride tricycles, and conspire in plenty of shenanigans. As he gets older, I hope he will also experience the unparalleled gift of great friendship, with all the delight, reassurance, interconnection, and opportunities for growth that it brings. "My hopes are echoed in a new study published in Psychological Science, which found that boys’ friendships are not just fun and rewarding—they could also lead to better health." Thank you to everyone who filled out our event questionnaire. You clearly want more workshop-style events, you favour nutritional / healthy eating sessions and zero waste living over environmental topics and you prefer evening sessions early in the week. There were some great ideas and we will look into how we can make these come to life. :)
Also thank you to those respondents who said they'd love to run or help running a session around Growing from Seed, Natural Cleaning Products or Vegetarian Cooking. Can you please get in touch with [email protected] as we would love to know who you are!

Brave: ready to fave and endure danger or pain; showing courage.
Wowza. That’s one of the words I picked to be my “word” for 2018. Brave. Something I honestly struggle with. I’ve prayed about it a lot and Jesus has definitely brought a lot of opportunities in my life this year to be brave, but you know what? I’m so thankful he has. Thankful for a God who wants to grow us and hears our prayers. Praying for and believing for big things and then listening for him and taking action takes a LOT of bravery.
Looking back on the first half of this year, I’m thankful I chose that to be my word and have really put it to practice because from doing that I/we have:
1.) moved home
2.) I’ve moved way up in my business
3.) personal met some incredible women who have shaped who I am
4.) started back at the school I love
5.) met hundreds of new women and have helped them get started on a healthier and happier lifestyle
Oh gosh, the list could go on and on.
Just feeling so thankful today, so maybe this is an early #thankfulthursday post. Oh and this adorable hat is from @thebebrand 💛
