Everglades National Park • South Florida 📍🐊
Created in 1947, this mosaic of marshes, sawgrass prairies, and forests encompasses 1.5 million acres of tropical and subtropical Florida habitat, making it one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the world. A number of birds, fish, mammals, and reptiles call the Everglades home and can only be found here exclusively.
The Everglades are a 45 minute drive from Downtown Miami, a provide the opportunity for some really unique experiences alternative to the typical Miami hustle. I spent my time there taking an air boat ride at Gator Park, one of the few airboat vendors sponsored by the National Park System, and hiking the trails at Shark Valley Visitors Center where I got to encounter some wild critters MINUS the fences, cages, and tanks (swipe for a gator LITERALLY posing)
If you’re ever in Miami consider giving the Everglades a chance for a one of a kind experience!
For more information on the park, visit nps.gov and search The Everglades.
There is nowhere I would rather be than with these three on a trail ❤️
I love the camera. I really do. It rarely leaves my side.. But point the thing at me and it makes me more uncomfortable than the naked cowboy on times Square.... And I have never even seen him... He was conveniently not there when I visited a few years ago 😜
Are you comfortable with the 📸?

¿Y a ti qué te gusta del verano?
Walked down the steepest hill of my life to get to this beautiful black sand beach 😍 Wore flip flops so I flicked up mud from the roads all over my legs the entire time 😂 But this view was worth it for sure! 🌊

Look back at the woman you were with empathy, and walk towards the woman you’re becoming with courage.
Remember that no matter the circumstances of your rooting, you can still find the resistance to bloom 🌿
Lake Louise is a magical place all year round, but there is something especially enchanting about it at this time of year. Maybe it's the snow, or maybe it's the holiday spirit. Either way, we love taking it all in! @columbia1938

Last weekend, my buddy Dart, @dartagnanfearon and I hiked up and camped on Mt. Hood. This was no easy trip as it required 3,700ft of climbing over 3 miles. Of course heavy backpacks full of gear didn’t make it any easier. We made it up to our destination after a few hours of climbing, set up camp and waited for the stars to come out. While I enjoyed sunset, my main goal was to capture the night sky. You can see our tiny tent lit up in the bottom of the frame, where we spent the long 14 hour night. The clouds on the horizon appear yellow due to the city lights of Portland in the distance. No photoshop was used in this photo. This is a single exposure, with only minor Lightroom adjustments. Such a rad adventure which I’ll never forget! #52weeksofnature#naturaloregon#natgeo100contest#backpackermag@hippytree
