Five years is a long time and a lot of coffee. It’s obstacles, triumphs, failures, and successes. It’s countless friends, beautiful moments, and meaningful conversations.
When my brother, Michael, and I started K Brew on October 19, 2013, we didn’t know what to expect. We were just two young guys who loved serving coffee and hanging out with good people. But I speak for both of us when I say that this has been the single most incredible journey of our lives, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything (I’m just glad we didn’t know about all the hardships along the way - we might not have said yes!)
If we’ve learned one thing along the way, it’s that this company is about you. It’s about that first date or 30th anniversary, that one job interview that changed everything, that one conversation with your best friend, and, yes, that long day when you simply had a bunch of emails to respond to. We have been the community hub for those life events, and we only want to continue and improve in being that for you.
To each and every one of you who have ever visited K Brew (whether once or a thousand times), thank you. We could not have made it this far without you. You encourage us, challenge us, and brighten our days with your smiles, personalities, and quarks.
And to all of our past and present baristas and managers, thank you. It is our team that makes this company what it is. Your passion, dedication, and perseverance does not go unnoticed. You da real mvp.
Michael and I are thankful for 5 beautiful years, and we’re excited about the next 5. We love serving you, Knoxville. -Pierce LaMacchia

Seperti batang-batang pohon, kita bertumbuh ke arah yang berbeda. Tapi akar kita tetap sama.
Selamat berakhir pekan, Svarga menantimu untuk berteduh.
I made the trek to revisit my favourite westside bar and bakery, @badloveclub.
Last week someone decided to help themselves to bad love clubs bagel delivery... So I implore anyone that can to come to Footscray and support this awesome cafe.
If you need any more convincing just look at this spiced rum pecan pie.
Nighttime brew 🌙 I’ve been slowly incorporating all the morsels of wisdom I gathered at the women’s mushroom retreat from a couple weeks ago. I attended a workshop on drinking mushrooms and the question was asked “what is your hot drink ritual and what does it mean to you?”⠀
I realized since giving up coffee in March and cutting down on alcohol these past few months, this ritual has grown for me. I use a warm beverage throughout the day to ground, connect, expand, carve out a moment of solitude amidst chaos, + nourish my body. I rotate from matcha, ginger turmeric latte, nettle + oatstraw infusion, to hand crafted + garden grown tea blends. After this workshop, I was excited to incorporate mushrooms into the mix. ⠀
Enter chaga. One of the mushrooms we drank together in this workshop and I found local, wildcrafted chaga on the bulk spices shelf of our local co-op. Chaga is found on birch trees + it is imperative it’s sustainably wildcrafted for the health of the tree. Chaga was used in Russia and across Northern Europe in traditional folk medicine. Today’s studies have proven what the ancestors knew: chaga supports human health. It wonderful for the immune system, is cancer + tumor fighting, great support for those in chemotherapy, lowers blood pressure, cholesterol, supports brain function, and in all honesty, feels like a big hug. ⠀
I made this witches brew with a few chucks of chaga, water and my crockpot. I’ve been adding a splash of oatly or nut milk, a dash of cinnamon + maple syrup as I drink this throughout the day. What does a hot drink ritual look like to you? Tonight I’m taking this moment of peace to tune in to my body+ catch up on some reading for our book club. Second time through and still so many gems. #wildwoman#womenwhorunwiththewolves#herbalism#selfloveclub#ritual#mushrooms#chaga#witchywoman#greenwitch#nourishyourself#divinefeminine#raiseyourvibration#hotdrink#coffeebreak#momentsofmine#nothingisordinary#ohheymamas#bedtimeroutine#nightynight#livethelittlethings#bedeeplyrooted#holistichealth#herbalist#iamwellandgood#myherbalstudies#myeverydaymagic#seekthesimplicity#theartofslowliving
Have you read any books by Matt Haig? @mattzhaig ♥️ THE HUMANS is my first one - finally! Thank you to everyone who voted for it to be my next read 🌝🖤 I’m about 70 pages in and loving it; this novel is about an alien in a man’s body observing the human race during his mission.
“A paradox: The things you don’t need to live—books, art, cinema, wine, and so on—are the things you need to live.” - THE HUMANS, Matt Haig
Have you read any of these books? It’s my latest bookhaul 🌝 Swipe to see the gorgeous book covers!! ♥️🖤
It’s taken these books 8 months to get to me!😱I ordered them from Amazon when I was in India back in February. But the books arrived quite late; after I’d already left for Jeddah. My grandmother kept these books safe for me during all those months, and so I had to delay my plans to read them. I actually kept a list of the books on my phone so I wouldn’t order the same ones again 😹 It’s fate that I’m back in India that same year (this has never happened before!). My grandmother brought my precious books with her a few days ago when she came to visit us in Delhi ♥️ Do you have a crazy story about getting reunited with your displaced books?
I guess most people might have ordered the same books instead of waiting an unknown amount of time; but I’d ordered them and felt they were mine so I didn’t want to betray my books 😹 Plus, I had tonnes of others waiting to be read! 😻♥️
