There were just way too many good photos that came from Arizona... so, don’t mind me if I never stop posting them. 💕

Everybody has a secret world inside of them. I mean everybody. All of the people in the whole world, I mean everybody — no matter how dull and boring they are on the outside. Inside them they’ve all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds… Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands, maybe. ❤️🧡💛
I can accept anything, except what seems to be the easiest for most people: the half-way, the almost, the just-about, the in-between.
Thank you @barrielicious for introducing me to Ayn Rand. She’s got a lot of incredible words to say. 👏🏽

•• there is no need for you the change the whole world; just change yourself and you have started changing the whole world, because you are the world. if even a single human being changes, that change will radiate to thousands and thousands of others. you will become a triggering point for a revolution which can give birth to a totally new kind of human being. ••

winter is an exercise in waiting—for relief, for a bird to sing, for the first purple crocus to push up through the snow.
It was winter again in Chicago. I woke in the mornings to the sound of the neighbors chipping ice from their windshields on the street. The wind blew and the snow piled up. The sun stayed wan and weak. Through my office window on the forty-seventh floor at Sidley, I looked out at a tundra of gray ice on Lake Michigan and a gunmetal sky above. I wore my wool and hoped for a thaw. In the Midwest, as I’ve mentioned, winter is an exercise in waiting—for relief, for a bird to sing, for the first purple crocus to push up through the snow. You have no choice in the meantime but to pep-talk yourself through. ~ Michelle Obama, Becoming

• The impermanence of things •
Mom led us to this magic spot, tucked behind a magic little town. When we first walked up to the pier, it was misting like crazy, soaking the whole family. When we left, a little sun broke the clouds and lit up the ocean and the bay. The weather on this island was everchanging. As our tour guide said, it’s all thanks to their big mountain- Waialeale. He also stated, it’s one of the rainiest places in the world. The locals will look outside at the summit of the inactive volcano and determine how rainy the island would be that day. I’m really missing you, Kauai.

“Night is purer than day; it is better for thinking and loving and dreaming. At night everything is more intense, more true. The echo of words that have been spoken during the day takes on a new and deeper meaning.”

In 2019, my plan is to focus on myself, my people, and doing the things I love doing. Spending time and, ultimately, taking photos of the people I love and exploring beautiful places. I’m excited for everything a new year has to offer and the opportunities we all have at hand. Embrace change, the good and the bad. Embrace everything the universe has for you. Do good to Mother Earth and she will do good to you. I hope everybody has found peace these two days so far 😁
