Here’s a lil’ throwback of Bermel’s “Coming Together” from last summer at @eighthblackbird Blackbird Creative Lab with the stupendous @jjake.saunders . Super pumped to perform this several more times this spring in various states of choreography 😂💃🏼🕺 Major shout out to @roswarby for the amazing choreography and @lskappy for some immense help in deciphering how to navigate and put together this piece.
I decided to torture myself today! (Shocker: this was a pain to put together 😂) I was happy with a lot of this, though! Trying to get back in the swing of practicing more regularly. Those couple measures near the end are just going to stay a little awkward and unsteady 🤷🏽♀️ Happy practicing! #clarinet#mendelssohn#midsummer#excerpt
Swipe left for record clip! A little late night 1920’s bonus jazz from Johnny Dodds Washboard Band. “Weary City” was recorded in Chicago for Victor in July 1928, and features Johnny Dodds on clarinet, Natty Dominique on cornet, Baby Dodds on washboard, Lil’ Hardin-Armstrong on piano, Honore Dutrey on trombone, and Bill Johnson on bass. The short-lived Biltmore Record Company of New York issued unauthorized jazz rarities between 1949-51 before the RCA Victor lawyers shut them down.
Hi everybody! I’m Corrado Giuffredi, often people ask me how to practice the single tonguing. I’d like to suggest you this simple but very effective daily exercise which I call “chromatic jumping”. You’re gonna be able to keep under control a smooth and equal “staccato” in all the registers. Of course, you can play it in all keys and in different kinds of tonguing as well: “very short” or else “portato”, etc... Now, I want to introduce you a student of mine who practices this exercise every day, his name is Vittore. Come here and show us! #staccato#clarinet#tutorial#askcorrado@corradogiuffredi@backunmusical@legerereeds#yes#clarinetto@vittore_macrillo#vittore_macrillo
