I used to play Clarinet in school, from 5th thru 9th grade. Always wanted to get back to it. Kids and life occupied my time..25yrs later, I seized the chance n bought one. It's been a joy to get back to this. #music#clarinet#musicislife
@chloetrevor_violin: I know a lot of you have been concerned about your musical content being blocked by Instagram - whether it’s a livestream being cut off while you’re playing Bach, or your video posts being removed entirely with the reason being a “copyright issue”. I’ve been discussing this issue with my contact at Instagram and we’re working to resolve it - but it’s a lot more complicated than simply pressing a button and making it all go away. He says we can help by getting him as much information as possible about the issues we’re having.
So here’s what I need you all to do - screenshot the problems immediately when they happen and notice the time that they occurred (hopefully taking a screenshot will give you the time stamp). Then send me a direct message with:
1) the screenshot
2) the username of the account
3) the time that it happened
4) the piece you were playing when it occurred
I will send these reports to him and he will present them as evidence to his colleagues at Instagram. The more reports I can get him the faster we’ll be able to solve this. Please share this post with as many people as possible and hopefully we’ll be able to post our content on the platform free from worry once again. Musicians unite!🌟🎼🎹🎻

This was one of probably the best things I’ve done with my life to date, it falls on a heavy heart to say I’m moving to a new chapter. Some of my Sistema Manitoba woodwind students. Since the launch of the Woodwind department at Sistema Manitoba 2 years ago, I’d been working along side my fellow colleagues to build this woodwind program. We’ve seen some amazing students emerge on the flute, clarinet, and had started the oboe this year. With new endeavours ahead, today was my last day with this program. I will be leaving some very important students in my life, who made me completely relearn my approach to teaching. I am so thankful for the moments these students brought to my life, I care for them all very deeply. I’m excited to announce @wattsup_beck will be the new educator for the woodwinds department. I can not think of a better individual I would want to see carry on the torch we built in this program! I can’t wait to see what these talented/ kind hearted students will get up to in the future... #sistema#woodwindteacher#sistemamanitoba#manitoba#manitobamusic#education#musicsaveslives#musichelpsusgrow#students#flute#clarinet#oboe

Save the date Saturday June 30th 1pm.
An honor to play music of Iran with vocalist Dina Zarif and the ensemble.
MUSIC OF THE BANNED
In the face of the current president’s travel ban of citizens from mostly Muslim countries: Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Yemen, Somalia, North Korea and Venezuela from coming into the U.S., Music of the Banned seeks to build a sonic bridge between peoples. The 8 banned countries of Travel Ban, are a source of rich music and art that we can explore in a journey of peace and understanding. Musical influence has never and can never be limited by the borders of nations, with artists adopting elements of each other’s musical traditions. Organized by Iranian-born performer Dina Zarif, the concert will give voice to musicians from the Banned Nations, breaking the barriers of fear and ignorance by responding with love, peace, and empowerment.
(Link in bio) 😂😂😂 So I was trying to publish the full video of this to YouTube today and they think I was stealing content from a recording of the 2013 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition. The part they said I stole? The applause at the end 😂 Because of this, Naxos is currently receiving money for any ads you watch before the video, so I would invite you to consider supporting Naxos by clicking the link in my bio to watch my performance 😉
