If I had to describe my defining moment of this year’s traveling - it would be Champakali, this 30 year old female elephant, who’s traveled her way from Tamil Nadu to Bihar via truck and then walked with her majestic self till Chitwan and now lives here. She’s taken care of by Govinda Daaju (Bhaiya in Nepali), who was the sweetest and actually made me so confident about being around Champa the way you see me in this picture.
This was taken really early in the morning, when @halomellow and I woke up only to play with Champa because she then had to go for Jungle Safari. We didn’t want to sit on Champa like she was an animal only born for our pleasure - we wanted to spend some good time talking to her, playing with her, feeding her food and watching her slay in all the pictures that you will see soon.
What a star Champa is. She really is. The first instance of me meeting her and I said “Champakali, yaad hain? Hum tumhari Maa” and I don’t know why I felt that I have known her before.
I know that not everybody can understand this, but I felt her soul like we have had a strong connection in some previous life. While I type this, I’m also laughing at myself thinking like that, but it’s a feeling that I can’t ignore.
& here I thought I was a dog person all this while, the truth is - I am an Elephant Person for Liiiifeeee. 🌟 🐘 @bijniswoman #Nepal#Champakali#Chitwan #BijnisWomanxNepal #elephant#chitawan#beautiful_destinations#awesome_shots#girlwhotravels#girlsvsglobe#girlstravelling#weareexplorers#femaletraveller#amazingplaces#tourismkathmandu#NepalisBeautiful

Name: Saroj Kandel
Saroj is an energetic child and most of all he is so curious about new things happening around him. We were having a hydrological study at the Narayani river, at the same time this young boy came and asked, what we were doing? I tried explaining him about what we were doing in simple language. He stayed with me for about 30 mins, we talked about various things like his houses, name, where is from, and other. Then i asked why weren't you in school ?
He was speechless and he lowered his head down. Didn't spoke a single word after that.
This event made me think, why? Who is responsible, is it poverty or his parents inability, our governmental education system?
This is what we really don't want. I wish those all kids and boys should have an opportunity for a quality education. .

#iNevaKnewThereWasALoveLikeThisBefore 🧡🐘🧡 I haven’t felt so child like in idk how long.. perfect way to start my birthday after all these changes and complications in my travels. I was sad upon arrival, the way they have these sacred beings chained up.. makes sense why they tear ish up when they do escape. However, this place is supposedly a “sanctuary” and they ‘only’ use the adults for blah blah blah. I was hoping to get personal but they’re all behind the wood like fences, so I decided to meditate for a while to somehow raise my frequency so they could feel the love I’d be channeling to each and every one of them. This baby saw me pull out my water and of course I was happy to share it all.. he’s lived in the womb longer than he’s been out here in the world and you can tell by his big ol’ litto legs. Haha. Almost 10 weeks!! I started singing to him and rubbing him up.. I think animals can always feel my healing touch cause they don’t leave after I connect. I wanted to be a little sad when he walked off cause of course it wasn’t enough, just to look to my left and see people were backing up as he climbed over a broken part of the fence. This boy came straight for me!!!!! ..omgosh do they love cuddles!! I would have let him climb all over me too, until I was reminded of their massive weight + well, the way my medical insurance is set up. This is a very short clip of us playing tag for like 10 minutes until he got so rowled up they forced us apart. My heart is full. .
#nepal#chitwan#sunset
