So I'm letting elder berries, lycii berries, astragalus 1/2 tsp, ginger root 1 tsp, a few sprinkles & dashes of cayenne pepper, and a tsp of dandelion root, and 1/2 tsp of rose petals. I eye ball and measure by hand, except for the apple cider vinegar, so you may get different flavors. The FUN IS IN THE NEW MIXES AND EXPERIENCES! So don't worry if the measurements aren't exact.
This for me allows my #diabetes and #bloodsugar to be controlled easy. I can go from a ratio of one unit of insulin for 15 carbohydrates, to a sensitive state of 1 unit of insulin for 50-60 carbohydrates. Each man has their own body, but herbs make diabetes a playful numbers game and cake walk with the right wisdom of food and energetic!
I'm letting it all sit in 2 tbsp of apple cider vinegar. I'll let this sit for 30 minutes to an hour before I put in water to let it infuse with it as well. There's also a small small bit of cinnamon in there, cat nip, and lemon balm!
The idea came from Rosemary Gladstar's recipe of "fire cider." I took the liberty to go far off the ingredients list, but alas, I never would make it without her wisdom and goodness!
Oh, and how could I forget! I added a big spoonful of honey !
Trying to keep Wellington from scratching up my carpets, so I got him a flat scratching post. And may have over done the catnip in trying to get him interested in it. #maggieandwelly#catsofinstagram#catnip
Just a boy and his banana. 🍌💛 Phin always gets very silly with this toy! 😺
For those new friends who don't know Phin very well yet, he has a condition called cerebellar hypoplasia. This means that the part of his brain that coordinates movement never fully developed. He's not in any pain, and he won't get worse over time, though there also aren't any treatments that would help him. He had a difficult time getting enough food in his system as a kitten, experiencing Fading kitten syndrome, but his foster mom, @fosterkittys , nurtured him with a lot of love and care, and he was able to grow into the wonderful cat he is now. 😻 Phin adapts to his condition by walking with his paws a bit wider, leaning against the wall for support, and using claws to climb up and down things. Phin is a very happy kitty who loves playing with his siblings (Tyrion the cat, and Holly the Airedale Terrier), eating meals and treats, and cuddling with his parents. 😻
