For those of you who leave the @f45campsbay classes deafened by my often over the top shouting, I’ll be doing my best to keep my voice at a moderate volume when taking everyone through info pertaining to the Challenge;) Looking forward to a cracker of an afternoon.

Here in Cape Town, we explored Table Mountain in and out and as this is an absolute must for any visitor let me share some tips. You can either hike or take a cable car which is around 20$ depending on currency exchange. There are few main trails to hike up Table Mountain, we did the most recommended.
Skeleton Gorge hike- starts at Kirstenbosch botanical garden that is also a must visit (need to pay the entry fee). A really challenging hike, at some point the trail disappears and you need to climb up waterfalls and hang onto ropes. It took us about 3 hours to hike up. The hike goes through the beautiful forest and you see a lot of greenery, but don't really see much of Table Mountain until you reach the top.
Platteklip Gorge hike- is a super steep one. It feels like you are just walking up the stairs for 2.5 hours. As the hike is located in the gorge, it is really narrow, so you don't see much of the views, a little bit of the Lions Head at the bottom and just rocks until the very top. If you are up for a challenge then hike up Skeleton Gorge and go down Pletteklip Gorge. We did that and it waaaaas haaaard (about 7 hours return). But now I have bragging rights to say I conquered one of the Seven New Wonders of the World.
Hiking is literally my fav activity, but I surprisingly preferred taking the cable car up, it goes up right in the perfect way you so you can enjoy both Lion's Head and Table Mountain, something that can't be seen during the hike. It also spins around, so you get the perfect views no matter where you stand. Make sure to book in advance, as lines can be crazy.
Have you been up Table Mountain what is your fav way? Leave that recommendation for all future travellers ❤
