Sorry! I tried to do a story but all the clips were going out of order. Grr. I’m still learning so please be patient with me 👏. My little haul. Zoflora I got from an online British/ Canadian store that has an online. I can only get 56ml bottles and very limited scents. Middle: is from Canadian Tire and the last one is from A dollar store. Super excited to start using these Zofloras ( very sparing tho as shipping was not cheap). #minihaul#canadiantire#dollarstore#lovezoflora

Bob McClintock’s fantastic googie Canadian Tire swoops. PS there’s a sister gas station in Mississauga on Southdown Road, but that’s the only other one I’m aware of. Thankfully they have heritage designation.
Basement apartment update on a budget.
The goal for this unit was to increase the brightness, modernize the decor and create a “wow” factor to hook potential renters and maximize the rental income potential.
Walls and trim: Chantilly Lace White by #benjaminmoore in a semi gloss finish to reflect the natural light and increase brightness. I love this clean, bright white! The upper section of the walls are a soft grey in Balboa Mist by #benjaminmoore, also semi gloss.
I added an electric wall mount fireplace to add coziness and wow factor for potential renters. At this time of year you can get them for a steal! This one was 50% off at #canadiantire
Total cost of update: $295 - CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
The room has been staged with neutral furniture to demonstrate the potential use of space and add warmth.

Before and After Kitchen! From dark and dated to modern farmhouse! I freshened up the outdated cupboards, neutralized the paint colours and brightened up the space by using semi gloss paint on the walls in light colours to reflect the light.
All this for $250!
Walls: Balboa mist semi gloss by #benjaminmoore . Cupboards: Chantilly Lace white and Deep Space Grey by #benjaminmoore
Backsplash: paintable bead board wallpaper ($19.99) painted with semi gloss Chantilly Lace
Chandelier: 50% off at #bouclair I spray painted it with hammered copper paint from #canadiantire Total cost $80.
Kitchen island sourced second hand dresser from #enviroplus In Moncton. I painted it in the same deep space grey as the cupboards and added a couple of upcycled pine boards on top.
Total cost: $85
I used the same hammered copper spray paint to update the existing hardware on the cupboards, the old flush mount light fixture and I had enough left over to do a couple lamps too.
This is a basement apartment rental unit. My goal here was to update the decor and brighten the space to increase the rental income potential with minimal investment. Mission accomplished!
Do your kids love helping in the kitchen? 🍪 My kids love it from beginning to end...including doing dishes and sweeping up the giant mess they made!
It definitely takes twice as long to get anything done but I think it's also twice as delicious! These kids loved their lunch of oatmeal raisin cookies and smoothies today 🍍🍌🥥
🕔 Recipes? Manuals? Instructions? Menus?! I’ve ALWAYS struggled to sit down and take the time to throughly go through something. ❗️Today marks a big day for my ADHD brain. I FORCED myself to read ALL the @canadiantire instructions for my office cabinet and taught myself how to use @dewalt_ca drill ! After 2 hours of some serious struggles, I built my first cabinet AND read the manual. To anyone out there that has the same struggles try and share your process - just knowing I have you as my audience, I HAD to commit. #ADHDhacks#SpreadYourAwesome

So. They are forcing us to use there card. Or get less Canadian tire money. Why are you forcing us to use your loyalty card. I collected ct money for Years and it was why I WAS a loyal customer. But your driving me away. #terriblecustomerservice#canadiantire#ripoff
I’ve been keeping this under wraps for a year now so I’m super excited to finally share that my Christmas collaboration with retailer Canadian Tire is now available in stores across the country and online! Canadian friends, check out your local store to see the tree skirt, pillows, gift bag and stocking that were created as a part of their Canvas Designer Series.
I’m so pleased to have worked with such a huge retailer that supports small independent designers. In this case buying big is also buying small.

'Tis the season for matching Christmas pajamas, sad bank accounts and holiday DIY projects. With a new baby on the way I've been trying really hard to save money [because diapers eyeroll] and one way I've been able to do that is using our @canoncanada PIXMA for all kinds of holiday DIY projects. One of my favourites is this photo tree that I made using only twinkle lights, 4x6 glossy photo paper that I cut to my desired shape & size and mini clotheshpins. If you don't have any string lights, no worries! The Canon PIXMA has the capability to print on magnetic photo paper so you could easily recreate this look on your fridge OR you could use the restickable photo paper on the wall which would create no holes, no damage, no stress. Are you a DIY'er? Let me know in the comments below what your favourite DIY project for the holiday season is and for more ideas on what you can do with your PIXMA printer this Holiday season, click the link in my bio! #PIXMAHoliday#Sponsored
