STORY TIME ⬇️
“The date continues we still walking so please tell me why while we walking I SEE MY EX and his friends walking towards us. I started to get butterflies in my stomach for reals thought I was going to puke. I haven’t seen my ex in forever and we never figured out if we going to be civil in person or just ignore each other. I guess today I was going to find out.”

When the Cherry Trees are in bloom what often comes to mind, Spring’s really here! It sparks an excitement knowing the weather is going to get warmer and we can finally wear our wonderful spring/summer clothing. When thinking about warmer weather the one fabric that comes to mind is Linen! Our collection this season is filled with wonderful linen styles. Jexy is wearing the 3/4 Sleeve Linen Tunic. It’s a clean and simple design, great paired with the Salt Spring Linen Capri or the Bamboo Capri Leggings.

Have you ever not been able to stop staring at a beautiful view? That’s us right now.
Meet Kelsey @aforagershome from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦 “I became inspired to grow food after I got married and began to have some of my own space to work with. I remember my mom growing some vegetables in her flower garden, and my grandparents come from farming families, so it must be in the genes.
My time is divided between gardening, foraging, being a mother and a wife, creating the items I sell in my online shop, and blogging about it all. I am also very involved in my local Church where my husband is one of the pastors.
I grow food because I desire to have a closer relationship with what I eat, and what I serve my family. I love that I will be able to teach my son about the garden and pass down my love of growing food. Even at only two years old he is so interested in everything and loves "helping" me. His favourite thing these days is digging carrots.
Since my garden space is quite limited, I try to grow things that are unique. We have a really good network of local farms, and an amazing Farmers' Market so it is relatively easy to find good quality produce. I love supporting the local farmers, so in my own garden I enjoy experimenting with interesting varieties.
I am committed to organic gardening practices. I believe that healthy soil is hugely important since healthy soil means healthy plants. I build my soil using a combination of "lasagna gardening" and hugulkultur techniques. This is an area where I am still growing in my knowledge and I am always looking for new things to learn.
I have had so many failed attempts at growing things (this will be year 4 of trying to grow corn!) but each time I learn something new and get a little bit more of a handle on what I am doing. Even though it is difficult when things don't go your way, it makes the successes sweeter and that personal growth is one of the things I have found most rewarding about growing my own food.”
If you were to ask me what the greatest luxuries in life were ten years ago, I would have confidently listed off some combination of designer bags, extravagant vacations, and unlimited candy. Although I still hold my sour jubes in high regard, I’ve noticed my other values shift over the past few years. Now, make no mistake: not in a million years would I turn down a Birkin bag or getaway to the south of France. That said, I now find myself appreciating the small things in life more and more: down time, fresh fruit, getting to bed early, and good conversations now come to mind when I hear the word “luxury”. Maybe it’s some combination of getting older and getting boring, but regardless of how you want to label it, I’m happy with where I’m at ⭐️ I’m curious as to whether anyone else has noticed this shift lately. What do all of you consider to be the greatest luxuries in life?

So many incredible views to be seen, if you’re willing to make the hike to achieve them.
