A few years ago in Fiji 🇫🇯 I witnessed all this on 1 dive which was no longer than 40 minutes long. Bull sharks within arms length, reef sharks swimming inches away from our faces and white tip reef sharks swimming between our legs. These are NOT mindless eating machines but actually calculated predators who have survived since the dinosaurs with very little change. I accept the risks I take when entering their environment and I am still here with all limbs attached. These animals have earned their right on this planet and play a huge roll in the worlds largest eco system. This dive demonstrates a healthy eco system which is all to rate a sight in this day and age due to poor fishing practices, shark finning and pollution in our oceans. #scubadiving#diving#fiji#shark#sharks#bullshark#reefshark#marineconservation#saveoursharks#saveouroceans#onelifeliveit#adrenalinjunkie
OMG!! Pointer!!!! 🦈 If you didn’t know already we are in the middle of mating season....take a close look at this picture. We apologize but she stayed in the distance so this is the best we could do. This is Pointer, a female Bull Shark and she’s COVERED in mating scars! Scandalous!!!!! 😈. Pointer is one hot Lady Bull!!!! 😉 Pointer is an amazing shark, so seriously consider adopting her, the added bonus being if you Upgrade your adoption with emailed updates or video clips you get to see that belly grow and grow and follow her through pregnancy to the birthing season! 😊 #adoptyoursharknow
We could watch these wonders for hours! Bull sharks and a lemon shark were cruising in the marina tonight. But also special were the reef squid and green heron, fishing off our mooring line!
Tomorrow we head offshore to Tiger Beach!
"Picture the scene: It's a breezy, sunny day and you're wading in the cool, shallow waters of the Mississippi River. You're somewhere inland -- way inland. Like Missouri. You look upstream and a 7-foot bull shark swims your way with, what looks like to you, a smile on his face. While not highly likely, it can, and has happened.". As freshwater shark research scientists We are dedicated to making this a reality in all freshwater ecosystems across the world.
