Some rules are made to be broken.
And life is too short not to be enjoyed.
Sometimes we don't do something, based on the words of someone else.
Some people don't seek their dreams, due to others telling them they can't.
We need to stop saying 'You can't' & 'You won't'
And spread more 'YOU CAN' & 'YOU WILL'
Belief is strong. Belief can achieve the unthinkable.
We need to believe in each other. Support each other.
But most important of all.
You need to believe in yourself.
One thing that I noticed right away when we were walking along the cobblestone streets in Brussels is that it feels very quaint and simply, well, happy. Lining the streets are dozens of unique shops, and all doors are open, inviting you in to meander and experience what they all create in a way we don't have here in America.
This shop in particular, La Maison du Savon de Marseille, caught my attention from the outside because of the beautiful wall of handmade French soaps that they had lining the side of the shop. I must have stayed inside for a good 30 minutes, just looking around and "smell sampling" all of the different types of soaps they had.
Although we planned things out ahead of time for Paris, we didn't really plan things out in advance for Brussels- and doing so made the whole experience pretty laid back, which we were both grateful for! When you're traveling, do you have a set plan for each day? Or do you try to go with the flow?
Guests planning their summer getaways to Montreal should most definitely visit the city’s Mile End neighbourhood. One of the areas most visited attractions is @AireCommune, a work/meeting space by day, then a fun hangout in the afternoons and evening. The lovely outdoor terrace turns into a beer garden at 5 p.m. with food trucks and music. #NewNovotel IG: @FlorenceNaud
“Will I gain weight on a cruise!?” ....was a question in my DM’s. Even though the weird shadow happening in front of my stomach makes me look like I gained 40lbs... I didn’t 😂😂
In all honesty, my clothes came out a little tighter, but nothing a week of healthy eating can’t fix! I just ate intuitively by mixing indulging with healthy choices on a balanced basis. I probably only gained a pound or two in reality.
But here IS what I gained a lot of:
-I gained new friends over countless coffees and desserts
-I gained extra time with my husband and parents eating our favourite dishes
-I gained new happy memories by just letting go and having fun in the moment
Those gains are worth every dang calorie! 💁🏼♀️
Listen, being on-board is all about having fun. If that means eating pasta and extra gelato, go for it. But if happiness to you is eating keto, paleo, vegan, or any other diet- there are tons of dishes and foods to stay on track.
The choice is yours. Just like it is OFF the ship!
You can literally choose your own adventure with the food daily. Go dirty or go clean, or do both! (Like meeeee!)
Either way, I just gotta do what feels good, ya know? This beautiful life is too short to get caught up on macros or beating myself up about what I ate. No thanks 👌had too much fun! 👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼👉🏼 don’t you think it’s important to just let go and not beat yourself up every moment!? .
PS- shoutout to the only time I hung out on the Millennium’s gorgeous new Retreat rooftop deck the whole cruise! 😂
The entire 2-week sailing across the Pacific Ocean was SWEATER weather for sure ❄️🧣(which I didn’t mind coming from being in hot Asia for 6 months.) Every day was an ‘indoor’ kinda day. But on the last day while we were in Victoria BC, the warm sun came out! ☀️

Insane color combos going for a hike around the base of Uluru
Not pictured: Me wearing my super stylish fly net!
😧Unreal levels of flies that thankfully don’t bite but are incredibly annoying. Every Aussie I met was too cool to wear the net and instead used a hand-on-the-chin mannerism🤔 Exclusively to wave away the flies and not look like an idiot in a net like all us tourists🤣
The views are so insane you eventually forget about the flies anyway!✨

Beautiful city palace of Jaipur, known as the pink city. ~
Apparently the common explanation as to why all the buildings are pink is because of the colour of the stones used for all major construction and because Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur in 1876 order all the homes and buildings of the city to be painted pink as a welcoming colour for Queen Victoria. ~
This week has already been the recharge we needed. We got back our fire, our fuel, our spark.
This picture is what location independence looks like: hiking the mountains of Vietnam with your best friend. No PTO, no pay cut, just readjusting our schedule and workload. This is the freedom lifestyle we dreamed of for so long.
So how did we really get to this point? Well we want to share more with yall than we ever have before and truly let you in on this journey.
Big things are coming. Go follow @amandakolbye and check out Amanda’s newest photo as her story starts to unfold.
