Do you ever read something and it stops you in your tracks? This happened for me today... and wanted to share.
Making a home is always going to look different from person to person. .
But generally speaking it is interesting to me that most of us hang the same types of pictures on our walls:
We hang photos of our family. We display photos from beautiful places we have visited. We frame inspirational words about love and laughter and living life to the fullest. .
Nobody hangs images on their walls of a hurried, busy, stress-filled life. Nobody displays photos of more money. And nobody decorates their homes with pictures of another day at the office.
Instead, on our walls, we celebrate family, friends, and faith in a better world.
But then, for some reason, we head out the door to live hurried lives of desperation. We rush from one appointment to another hoping to find a better life through anxious worldly gain. And each day, we pile anxiety upon anxiety.
We are out striving for the next dollar that we can use to buy another framed picture of the life we wish we were living.

Sensitive to eggs? 🥚 Are you new to becoming vegan or vegetarian and want to learn how to incorporate more plant based protein into your diet? I love hard boiled eggs on my avocado toast, but unfortunately, I’ve developed a mild sensitivity that causes slight acne to occur. Plus, I was tested by a naturopath who confirmed this. I am to avoid eggs for a while.
Eggs are a great source of protein BUT they are not the only way to get protein in your meals. That goes for chicken, turkey and meat too! I want to teach you a very simple way to add plant protein into your meals.

Dreams really do come true 🙃
I was pretty much dreaming about this dinner all day, wondering how I can make it happen with 👶. Then Julien called and said he’d be home early. So while he was loving up on Harlan, I was loving up on some alone time aka a real shower and time to cook this meal.
Wild salmon seasoned with paprika, garlic and pink salt, broccolini with salt, pepper and nutritional yeast, crispiest fingerling potatoes and a major greens fix.

A sweet and savory breakfast bowl is my go to breakfast by far 🤗 You can just make them with anything you’ve got on hand and that just makes things so easy 💯 Sundays are grocery shopping days so Sunday meals are always just whatever is left in the fridge 👌🏻 Luckily I keep this bread in the freezer so it stays good for a long time 😎 I also found a kiwi hiding in the back of the fruit drawer 🥝 So I made a cute little kiwi flower 🤗 The perfect easy breakfast 🍳 Full of healthy fats, carbs, and protein 🙌🏻 Heading to get ready for church, then doing typical Sunday things like grocery shopping and meal prepping 😌 Nothing too exciting over here! Been super busy with school but all's well on my end. It's important to support your mind (in terms of academics) with nourishing foods to keep yourself fueled and motivated! And of course, it's also important to eat right to power through workouts! I've finally broken through my plateau (it seems) after increasing my macros and I'm feeling and looking better than ever! I finish my summer classes next Friday so after that I'll be back with awesome foodie pics then. In the meantime, here's a gorgeous picture of my breakfast/lunch: soaked toasted rolled rye with @myironvegan athlete's blend, pumpkin seeds, almonds, toasted coconut, bloobs and strawberries.
