My dad worked here in college during the Montreal Protocol, which was an international effort to protect stratospheric ozone by reducing CFC's.
I’ve been insta-quiet the last few days while I pack half my life and studio into boxes for my Santa Fe getaway! Just wanted to pop on here and wish everyone a great weekend! 😊
Ps - I bumped into this painting from a couple weeks ago while packing, and am adding it to the shop right now! Love looking at this blue sky on a gloomy day like today! ☁️ Update: it has found a home! 🏡
After ten minutes of luxuriating in warm spring air and happy bird noises, I was feeling pretty great about the idea of painting in pleasant weather again.
*cue ominous music*
Then this thunderstorm rolled in. Then I looked down and saw a spider crawling onto my hand. 😱 Ok, Mother Nature, message received — don’t get too comfy, kid. 😜
Sold! Stay tuned for more mint tin paintings to be added to my shop. Thunderstorms and spiders aside, I’ll be painting a lot more outdoors in the next few months!
