"The Eternal Romance".
The voyages and the proverbial journeys.
What more is left to write
On ships at sea
And boats at bay
That hasn't yet been written?
What more is left to wonder
When staring into the horizon
And taking in that sunset
That one will not already ponder?
What treasures are still left to seek
That the one legged buccaneer
And King's good captain at sea
Have not yet searched?
Not much, I suppose.
And yet we still venture into those waters,
That have been all but discovered of their wonders,
That have been all but stripped of their curiosity.
Because no matter how worldly
The child of God may become
He shall forever stay
A divine creation.
The child in him,
Still wishes to explore the tectonic,
Still wishes to pull off a DiCaprio,
On the edge of some forsaken Titanic.
The boney fisherman,
Still expects for the unexpected crate,
When he springs his net
From off that fishy deck.
The merchant, minister and master
Still hope of giving the red wine a sip,
On that sun-kissed deck,
The food of life and the perfect dip.
Say what you will, God
But your Human is romantic creature,
Thus he looks for treasure
And thus he writes literature.
You too, God, are
One heck of a romantic,
For who otherwise
Would create a heaven so picturesque
And a hell breathing fire.
For who otherwise
Would build her own creation
With the power of self destruction.
And who otherwise
Would furnish me with such a day
When with pen & pictures
I so happily play.
God. You are such a romantic.
Life on the Kerala backwaters in a houseboat - our overnight home as we floated gently in Allepey. The backwaters are a chain of lagoons, lakes, rivers and canals lying parallel to the Arabian Sea. They have a unique ecosystem where fresh water from the rivers meets the sea water from the Arabian Sea. #incredibleindia#kerala#boats#travelphotography#wanderlust
