We grew about 30 China aster plants last season, fell in love and bumped that number up to 800 this year. They are truly something special. We tried all different types and colors this season but the peachy Tower Chamois variety are still our favorite.
Shoulda posted these in the right season but I'm in Australia right now and it's winter here anyway so nothing makes sense. Enjoy these hydrangea from those heady days of early summer when the beaches weren't overrun with poisonous jellyfish and the year wasn't more than halfway over 💜

It will never rain roses: when we want to have more roses we must plant more trees.
Plants Are Magic out in the wild!! Thanks for sharing this gorgeous photo earlier @emilydaisygibb. Such a lovely scene - sitting amongst flowers with a cuppa and a magazine ☺️🌿

Hi, I’m Elly!
1. Wife, daughter, friend of people, flowers & plants.
2. Avid tea & coffee drinker. I’m a sucker for outings that involve quality time with friends & new hipster coffeeshops.
3. Baker in my free time.
4. Not thrilled with the hazy, hot days we’re experiencing right now, but so thankful it’s not as bad as other parts of the country. And loving the seasonal bounty- grapes, squash, tomatoes...!
5. I can’t think of a 5th fact, so ask me something in the comments, or just say hi!
Already the garden is noticeably greener. Buoyed by the rain, albeit a little buffeted. The very definition of resilience: from acute to obtuse and the full gamut of jaunty. And still standing.

The first of our ‘Cafe Au Lait’ dahlias taking front stage in this weekend’s bouquet. As much as I find the start of a bridal bouquet overwhelming, I absolutely love the process of building the details. #rootedbouquet#weddingbouquet#bridalbouquet
