During the Meiji Restoration, after the fall of the Tokugawa family💀, the Imperial government abolished the Shogunate system and the military power of Japan was returned to the Emperor. The daimyos (feudal lords) were forced to give up their land and castles🏯 and the castles were ordered to be demolished🔨 and sold💴 for redevelopment. The citizens of Matsumoto claimed that losing their castle meant losing the character😠 of their city and started a campaign🙏 to save their castle🏯. The city government successfully acquired the Tenshugaku (the keep) of the castle😆 and therefore was able to preserve it👍. However, due to lack of funds💸, the keep was neglected☹ and started to lean towards one side. A local high school principle👨🏫 took the matter to his hands and successfully appealed for funds🙏 to restore the castle🏯. It is the citizen's love❤ and pride for their castle that has kept the keep until today making it one of the 12 original keep still remaining today in Japan.😊

Women's Sports Sponsorship, An Opportunity Brands Are Missing. 📊
Brands are missing out on reaching valuable new audiences by shying away from sponsoring women’s sports.
That is according to Sam Grimley, commercial director at GumGum, a “computer vision” company that tracks the value of sports sponsorships based on online and broadcast exposure.
In the level of investment and coverage, female sports remain well behind male sports. One estimate found that between 2011 and 2013, women’s sports sponsorships accounted for just 0.4% of all sports sponsorships.
Blackcastle Sport believes there are opportunities for smaller and emerging brands to sponsor women’s sports and make meaningful connections with consumers.
Two new venues confirm 2020 F1 deals... Formula 1 could have at least three new destinations in 2020, with organisers in Ha Noi and Zandvoort claiming to have concluded deals with Liberty Media, who will look to push through the Miami Grand Prix for the season after next as well.
Liberty had tried to get a deal in Miami done in order to include it in 2019, but strong opposition from local residents has delayed the process, which will not be revisited until next year.
