The road swallowed us and we knew we would get out wherever it spluttered: on the colorful Boardwalk right next to the beach, with flickering rollercoasters that made people hanging above scream loudly and countless games along the way, fake pistols banging, plates shattering and dimes clattering just to get big or tiny plushies between palm trees and the ocean; up the woody mountains, through empty streets, soon into the darkening horizon.
Pink streams and blue clouds now stretched over fields of gold and green where the weeds buzzed in the evening breeze. Right where we settled for a break to watch the night creep on. And as we let it consume us, white rings of smoke blew over my head and you laughed in the fading light and I followed along. Your red and white jacket shimmered brightly in the last bit of sun. Cars faintly swished by in the distance. Far away their lights flashed against the blue sky before they disappeared out of sight. Then only an orange glimmer lit up in the darkness through you and I inhaling a few more times. As my thoughts swept away, finally the sound of the freedom settled over us. Silence. And just like the lights of the cars we disappeared too; into the wild. #travelgram

This place has my heart 🧡 what a perfect fall day!
A year ago yesterday two of my bffs got married. Here are some photos of my favorite weekend ever (which has now been trumped by seeing Beyoncé last weekend, sorry but you understand). Still always wishing I was in the mountains with all the people that mean the most to me ❤️ happy anniversary, you freaks. Love ya!
