Traveling with my best buddy is such a treat 🐶 It's been a bit surreal being a tourist with my dog today in Bruges. I'm not sure she's aware that she's been in 3 countries today, or that she's surrounded by such beauty and culture. But she is loving all the new smells and meeting new dog and human friends. When we decided we wanted to travel I was adamant I wasn't doing it without my best buddy and I'm so excited for all the adventures we are going to have together 🗺 ✨
The Long Room of the Old Library, Trinity College
We absolutely love libraries and bookshops, so visiting this one was a treat for the eyes. It's just a shame we couldn't get our hands on any of the old, dusty books, but that's probably for the best as it was a warm day and we had sweaty hands! 😂
The Long Room was built by 1732, but by the 1850s it had to be expanded because somebody thought it was a good idea to give permission to the library, to only go and obtain a copy of every single book published in Ireland AND Britain! So they (literally!) raised the roof of the bookish party to build an upper gallery.
Can I do that to accommodate my shoes and clothes? 😅
