Just in case you were wondering...the weather in Ireland is on par with Seattle. Rainy and gray, which means abundant greenery all around. On our way to Kenmare. The roads are narrow, twisty and in places the hedgerow closes in. #irishcountryside#healypass#bearapeninsula
Fruits of the week’s labors. 😅I had an amazing week participating in a watercolor workshop here in Ireland, led by Maine artist Evelyn Dunphy. The most important things I learned were 1) how much I don’t know! and 2) how impatient I am when it comes to process. There is so much experimenting and revising and going back to do things over from scratch... sometimes a mistake can be turned around and the painting salvaged, but sometimes you just have to accept it and try a second (or third or fourth!) time. Valuable lessons for my writing too. ❤️🖌🎨🖋| #writershappyhour#lessonsincreativity#artislife#artinireland#bearapeninsula#ireland#anamcara#eyeries#mywriterslife
The Beara Penninsula has a lot to offer and is easily one of the most memorable parts of my Atlantic Way cycle so far.
Doesn’t receive as much attention as the famous ring of Kerry but has just as much to offer.
The views and scenery do ease the pain in the legs to a certain extent, there also an abundance of wild camping opportunities scattered all over the Beara Penninsula.
