Putting 🌠Dry January Survival Tip #3🌠 into action with my #DryJanuary buddy @lauramandam ! She’s always game to try my concoctions 😁, especially during a DryJan when soda and bitters can get a little boring! The other night we started with this simple satisfying highball. 🔴🔸BLOOD ORANGE HIGHBALL🔸🔴
1½ oz Seedlip Grove 42
¾ oz Stirrings Blood Orange Bitters Mixer
1 dash Bittercube Cherry Bark Vanilla bitters
juice from half a blood orange
—Shake Grove, Stirrings, and bitters with ice. Strain into highball stacked with ice cubes. Top with 2 oz sparkling water. Float the blood orange juice. Garnish with blood orange wheel—
🎥Check the insta story for an action shot Laura snuck of me pouring the blood orange juice. I didn’t bother to strain it, but you should strain it if you are ❌anti-pulp❌!

Shark 🦈 Attack (Shark Bite Cocktail) via @karincarney
* 1 1/4 ounce silver tequila
* 3/4 ounce Cointreau orange liqueur
* 3/4 ounce blue curaçao liqueur
* 4 to 6 ounces sweet and sour mix
* 1 lime wedge, for rimming the glass
* Margarita salt, for rimming the glass
* Crushed ice
* Plastic Sharks, that are hollow in the middle
* Test tubes
1. Add tequila, sweet and sour mix, Cointreau, and blue curacao to a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
3. Rim a cocktail glass with salt. Strain margarita into the glass and garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.
4. Place one test tube inside one shark until it is all the way in. The test tube will stick out a little bit. Fill the test tube with grenadine until you can just see the grenadine above the shark's mouth.
5. When you're ready to serve, quickly turn the shark over into the margarita and plunge the test tube (and shark's head) into the margarita so the grenadine bleeds out into the cocktail. -

While in Chicago, I told @bradleybolt of @neonwildernessbar that I LOVE bitter cocktails. He made this drink reporting, “this cocktail is like taking a big bite of a grapefruit with the peel on.” Best description ever and I LOVED it! It’s made of - #Gin / St. Germaine/ @jeppsonsmalort / lemon / grapefruit expressed #😋 MUSIC by @andreapiko (credits end of video)
