Ok, so you know how you feel when everyone keeps telling you about how good a movie is, then you finally see it for yourself and you can't figure out what all the hype was about? Yeeaaa, that was my experience with Shake Shack. I'm not saying it was a bad burger, I just don't get all of the hype that I've heard about it. Today I ordered their Smokehouse burger, that comes with cheese, bacon, diced red peppers and their signature sauce. For starters (hold on to your hats) their was just too much bacon. The bacon, while perfectly crisp completely overpowered the star of the show, the burger. The burger is not cooked to order so you get it approximately medium well. I would like to tell you what the sauce tasted like but it was unfortunately overwhelmed by the diced pepper, which didn't make much sense on the burger to begin with. The crinkle cut fries, though nicely fried, makes me feel like I'm back in school lunch cracking jokes with the fellas. Perhaps #shakeshack is a victim of it's own hype and success, however, I'm leaving relatively disappointed and underwhelmed. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way for it. 7 Guts out of 10
