"Je me souviens" (I remember) is the official motto of Quebec. It's a call to never forget your traditions, your lineage, your history.
I was born in Montreal and stayed for a grand total of 3 1/2 months, before ultimately moving to San Diego, where I grew up.
Though all of my earlier memories are of southern California, I never felt like I really belonged. I had a different passport, one that required annual trips to the border to renew visas and 3-4 extra hours of detainment at immigration anytime we left the country.
Fast forward to this year: I finally got naturalized and.. my first time using my US passport is also my first time travelling back to Montreal since... birth! 😮
Today was our first day in this gorgeous city and such a beautiful homecoming. I finally understand why my parents made me take French in high school and got to celebrate Father's Day in the neighborhood where they lived here for 6 years as grad students! So excited to spend this week rediscovering my roots- je me souviendrai toujours ❤️ ..Okay thanks for reading this sappy mini biography, and LOL bye #jetlagged#backtosleep
Since posting about the amazing @mypanchhi sleep sack (we just got a second!) a lot of people have been asking me when I switched our little guy from a swaddle to a sleep sack. The image on the left is from our first night home and the image on the right was taken at 1 month of age. We transitioned from swaddle to sleep sack earlier than most families I work with. It is a parenting choice. I felt more comfortable and safe with my guy in a secure sack than in a swaddle that could unravel. Also, having his arms free allowed me to pick up on his early feeding cues at night preventing him from becoming hangry, which makes the night feeds more difficult! Make sure the sack is fitted properly and not able to slip over their head. But most importantly, always put your baby on their back to sleep, on a firm surface, with nothing else in their bed to prevent sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS- an unexplained death that typically occurs during sleep of an apparently healthy infant <1 year). SIDS prevention tips is a topic for another post. DM me if you have any other questions! 😴

Chris Brown might be one hell of a dancer. He might be a really good singer, and hell, he’s even an okay actor. But he’s not exactly the dude you’d want dating your daughter. When it comes to romantic relationships, Brown has a lot to learn.
He clearly has trouble letting go. As most of you know, his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran has been dating NFL player Victor Cruz for a good while now. And they appear to be in love.
Currently, they’re living their best life in Italy, and instead of being happy for Tran, Brown seems a bit jealous. After Cruz posted a shot of himself with Tran, Brown jumped in the comments and trolled his style…
No shade boo, BUT PLEASE STYLE HIM. He look like he shopping of the manikin and trying to bargain with the sales manager. Retired wrestler spanks. IM F—KING AROUND….good bless. No shade. Just minor.
Obviously, the comments have since been deleted, but the internet got them receipts before they were deleted. Later in the day, Brown posted a cryptic message on his Instagram, “A person that really care about you gone show it…and even on bad terms,” which sounds exactly like something a stalker would say.
For what it’s worth, he also posted a message on his Instagram Story claiming he was hacked…
And if you believe that, well, good bless to you. Good bless indeed.
