Someone’s mama got him a baby carrier and no surprise, he LOVES IT. Totally living his best life being simultaneously swaddled, carried, and seeing humans at eye level. 15/10 would recommend to those with anxious tiny dogs
This was actualy first time to go to pick up older sister in daycare in carrier. Great till one point - shoes on and off and overheating while inside waiting Lena to come, to dress etc. Then on a way home it start badly raining and I was not prepared...but the good side is that Tara now really starts to love being carried around <3
Creamy lemon pepper potatoes.💛🥔This is a recipe from cookbook I got from my mom.😍I have modified it a little and it’s just perfect.👌Super simple, delicious and fast.🤤
1kg peeled and chopped potatoes
1 tbsp coconut oil
2 bay leaves
1dl soaked cashews
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp grated lemon peels
1/2 tsp crushed pepper
Squeeze of lemon juice
Fry potatoes and coconut oil with bay leaves and cloves on medium heat under the lid until crispy outside and soft inside. Stir occasionally so it does’t burn.
(or steam the potatoes with bay leaves and cloves until soft)
Blend cashews with water and pour over potatoes.
Turn heat to medium low and add salt, lemon peel, pepper and lemon juice.
Let simmer until cashew sauce is thickened.
Serve with cherry tomatoes and steamed broccoli.

The best thing that ever happened to my relationship with my body was having babies. Before kids, I obsessed over what I ate, compensated for “bad” eating with over-exercise and never felt like my body was “good enough.” No matter how much I tried to “improve” my body, I was never satisfied. It’s funny how the mind does that, isn’t it? We strive and strive and no matter where we land, our mind moves the finish line.
The more I thought about my appearance, the less happy I was with it. Now, two kids later, I barely have time to go to the restroom by myself let alone think about what my body looks like 😂
But really...through pregnancies and nursing babies and motherhood, I’ve been able to see my body as so much more than an object for consumption. I take care of my body and honor it with my choices, but I do not shame it or talk down to it. I am not cruel to it, pinching and poking and measuring it. I refuse to count calories or diet, and I don’t speak negatively about my body out loud either. I appreciate it, nurture it and am thankful for it. What a gift it is to have my health!
I’m convinced that the best thing we can do for our bodies is to change our mindset rather than try to change what we look like ✨

I love wearing River in my @wildbird ring sling. I get to keep him close and get all the baby snuggles, PLUS I have two free hands so I can also get things done...aka wrangle a crazy toddler which definitely requires two hands. It’s a win-win! (Not to mention the added perk of all three of us looking adorable in it, if I do say so myself) #wildbird#mywildbirdcinnamon
Becoming an aunt has added a splash of colour to my world 🌈 it’s been a whole year since I last posted an actual babywearing picture, the reason is simple but complicated; it’s not because I don’t practice babywearing anymore - quite the contrary, I do it everyday. But all I could see every time I looked at a photo was how my clothes didn’t fit me right and how much bigger I looked since having Isaac and the slings made things worse. But wearing Clarice has given a reason to post what I do behind the scenes of my kids playful and colourful photos again , this is me and I don’t want anything to stop me posting the awesomeness of carrying all the babies and toddlers and children close to me ! oh, and it helps me to breastfeed on the go ! check stories for some day to day babywearing pics 😂 #babywearing#slings#wearallthebabies#wearallthetoddlers

A child is never a burden to their mother. We break our backs and never feel the cracks just to get to carry them one more time. #africanmom#babywearing
