Yesterday we looked at a lower volume /high-intensity approach to your training whereby you are focusing on mechanical tension as the primary driver of hypertrophy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today we look at taking this approach one step further in the case of adding even more volume onto the mechanical tension stimulus. This has been seen to be used by some of the greats of bodybuilding throughout the years. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whilst this may work for some it can reduce the adaptations that are made from metabolic stress. Whilst it is important to vary your focus on the primary drivers of muscle hypertrophy within your own training you certainly don't want to spend too much time away from one or another as this can de-train your muscle. By cycling between different drivers of hypertrophy you can provide the body with a different stimulus to once again try to adapt to and create a different set of challenges within your workouts to focus on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
