Brazil was the first country I traveled to 11 years ago during a study abroad program in college. I realized for the first time how little I knew about people and the world and that I wanted to learn more. It was also the first time I picked up a camera. For some reason even then I had an eye for horizons, they did something to me. Made me freeze and want to capture the moment in time for I knew that if I did then it would last forever. Document the trips you work so hard to bring to life. It’s worth it years later, feeling the same feelings you felt in that exact moment of the past. Even the present we are living now literally is already the past, a moment we will look back on years from now.
We started hiking in to the sand dunes at Mesquite Flats just before 6am in hopes of being in the right place at the right time. At one point we split up and @asenseofhuber and @tommylundberg hiked over to this sand dune and I hiked about 1/2 mile away to get this vantage point of them. The alpine glow at sunrise was amazing! My first trip to Death Valley did not disappoint. Shoutout to @stanmoniz for all the insight and knowledge he gave us to help us have the best 24 hours possible here. Yew! 🤙🏽🌄
