Chini Village, Kalpa, Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh.
The village is famously known by the name of Kalpa but in real it's name is "Chini". Kalpa is a cluster of many hamlets on the way to Chini village from Reckong Peo city, which is the district headquarters of Kinnaur District. Kalpa houses many administrative offices of the district and also the Indian Meteorological Department's observation station is here.
Chini Village is famous for stunning views of the majestic Kinner Kailash Range of the greater himalayas towering in front side of the village. It's also famous for traditional mountain village houses made of wood, stone tiles and mud. The localites are very warm and polite and indulge in proper guidance about the village and the surroundings. The village has a temple to local daiety and a small monastery which are also the highest points of the village.
